This is not the Holiday Inn. It is a quaint, historic hotel built in the 1920s. The room are clean and comfortable. Located in Belmont, Mississippi, the hotel is only a few miles from Highway 72 and the Natchez Trace Parkway. The innkeepers are hospitable. Not a bad overnight stay.

My husband and I stayed here one night on a bicycle trip. The hotel is clean, charming and has basic amenities. There are ample choices for breakfast. The best part was Ron, the "Innkeeper." Friendly and helpful, we couldn't have asked for a nicer host! He provided detailed information about the town and upon leaving, directions and a map back... More

Stay here for historic and nostalgia reasons only. This was once the place to stay in a rural railroad town. Built in 1924, it retains the 14 ft. ceilings, hardwood floors and some older furniture - but this is not a place to see antiques. The drain plug in the tub will hurt your feet.

We stayed here while cycling the Natchez Trace and found the host very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were allowed to keep our tandem bike safe and sound in the lobby. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is old and full of history but has the modern conveniences that made our stay pleasant. The Mexican restaurant across the... More

My mother and I stayed at The Belmont just for a night as we were passing through along The Trace. Nice accommodations and the owner was very hospitable. A very nostalgic place to stay! There aren't too many places to eat dinner in Belmont but the Mexican place across the street, Costa Oaxaquena, was good.

The Belmont is a great place to stay if you are biking the trace. It's a days ride north of Tupelo. Our host was welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast tasty. Be sure to have dinner across the street at Costa Oaxaquena.

Last week my daughter, little son, and my sister and I stayed at the hotel. It fit in with our trip down memory lane. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. Rooms were large and the beds were good. I would stay here again. The man from Natchez Trace was very nice and helpful. The man at the desk was not... More

I almost didn't stay at the Belmont because of the negative reviews I found here. I spoke with the gentleman that books hotels and B&Bs along the Natchez Trace and he assured me that it was a suitable hotel. I decided to try it and I'm happy that I did. First of all, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this... More

I'm originally from Belmont and have been coming back every year since I moved in 1988. I've seen the hotel go through several changes (for the better). The previous owner got to where she was unable to take care of the place. The new owners have done a great job at restoring it from the condition it was in. Mr.... More
