After a horrific experience at the Hotel de Ville across the river in Alma Wisconsin the first night of our weekend, it was salvaged by spending the second night here. Rooms were clean and professionally presented (if not inspired) and the staff was very nice and gave us a great tip to check out Lark Toys, one town down to... more

We were greated right as we walked in the hotel and got free (YUMMY) cookies. The staff was very friendly and always on their toes. They even gave us a coupon book and list of events going on in town while we were there. We stayed in the Grumpy Old Men Suite and it was more than we expected. Loved... more

We stayed here for one night on prior to attending a wedding. All standard rooms were unavailable when I booked so I booked the Decoy Suite. This room was very nice - had a king sleigh bed that was very comfortable. In one corner of the room was a fireplace with a TV above it and the other corner had... more

We had planned a weekend getaway at the Americ Inn in Wabasha Minnesota. I booked a themed room suite with my credit card months in advance. We arrived early to find they had given our guaranteed room to another customer. They placed us in a room they considered was an upgrade, an upgrade that was directly next to railroad tracks.... more

My family went on a weekend trip to south central Mn this past weekend with our 2 little boys. We wanted to stay near Lanesboro, but there is a real lack of family hotels in the area. WE decided to try the Americinn in Wabasha and it was a good choice. The hotel is quite new. The lobby is attractive... more

We stayed for 2 nights and were pleasantly surprised with the quietness and cleanliness of the rooms and general areas. The breakfast was more than a traveler could expect! (fresh made waffles, sausage, scrambled eggs, pastries, bagels, toast, hot and cold cereal, applesauce, yogurt, juice, coffee, milk, bottled water, muffins..... see now, what did I tell you!?) All staff we... more

I was very impressed with this hotel. The rooms were above average. LOTS of space! The rooms are soundproof. It must be a newly built hotel since the bathroom exhaust fan was not hooked up yet. I thought the pool and hot tub area are small. The sauna was not working. The breakfast was very plentiful....fresh made waffles, scrambled eggs,... more

I have found this location to be very poorly run and unhospitable. The Owner/Manager, Carolyn, has very poor customer service skills and doesn't care. There are many other establishments in the area and I would recommend staying away from this location. more

We were very pleased with our stay July 11, 2006. We arrived and the staff was very friendly. The room selections were nice, $80 for a regular room with king, and $149 for a suite. We looked at both, but opted for the regular. I travel a lot, and think the room was a great value. Furntiture was in great... more
