The building itself was very nice and interesting. My husband and I stayed for one night, but I wouldn't be interested in staying any longer. There was no door on the bathroom in our room - just a curtain. This is not acceptable at all. And there was no place to put my makeup - it only had a pedastal... More

I like to stay in unusual, not the run-of- the- mill, hotel chains. This hotel hit the mark for me. My only recommendation is to tour each of the available rooms first before settling in, which they allow you to do. Each room is unique in size, views, and historical touches. The breakfast (which is included with the stay) was... More

My husband and I were looking to spend a long weekend in Wabasha, MN for vacation. (We are that couple who's first date was Grumpy Old Men). We wanted to stay in Wabasha for convenience. We chose the historic Anderson Hotel due to the positive reviews we read. The hotel is fantastic. Check-in is between 12pm-7pm. We were travelling from... More

Continuously running hotel since the 1850s! Floors creak and furnishings are period. Staff was gracious but not present very often.. There is a room with museums facts. Not haunted as far as I could tell :). A little bit tired, but worth it. Breakfast was OK, not great. But worth the price. They leave some rooms open so you can... More

This is the real deal if you want authentic, historic accommodations. Each room is individually appointed. The baths are all modernized. Good Wi-Fi. There are wonderful common rooms on the ground floor and a bar/pub in the basement. The hotel is a block and a half from the Mississippi River and a short walk from the heart of the town... More

So my wife and I stayed here for our wedding night. I'll start with the good. 1. The king suite was spacious with a nice jacuzzi tub and waiting room. Although there were some cracks in the ceiling and some of the wallpaper was peeling, this is to be expected since the building is about 150 years old. The bed... More

This almost 150 year old building had the most comfortable bed I have slept in while on vacation. We checked in 30 minutes before they closed and were told that there would not be breakfast. A $15 coupon was handed to us to use at any local eatery for breakfast. I asked if the room would be discounted since this... More

A destination place for a group of friends. The decor is beautiful, like stepping back in time. Right downtown Wabasha, walking distance to restaurants and bars. Clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Breakfast was fresh and very tasty! Will definitely stay again!

This is a beautiful historic building with lots of charm. It's within walking distance of downtown, the Mississippi, and several bars/restaurants. The national eagle center is also just a few blocks away. But you have to be willing to put up with some inconveniences due to the age of the building. I stayed with a group of 3 friends for... We stayed at the Anderson House because we attended a wedding reception in Wabasha and it was the only place we could get a room. Having said that, we had a good experience there. The waroom was comfortable. Of course, everything is "old". We could hear people walking up the stairs and I thought it would end up being noisy... More
