We stayed 3 nights here and the room for 3 was clean and tidy but lacked a small fridge which would have made our budget stay easier, but we were given ice to help cool items bought for snacks etc. A microwave was provided in the reception area which we put to constant use boiling water for a cup of... For this Mom and Pop place it wasn't too bad. Interesting room remodel. The only problem we had was that the toilet must have been leaking water because every once in a while, it would fill up the tank again. Nice place to stop on our Lake Superior tour. Beds were very comfortable. DIdn't notice any road noises. Very easy... More

Our 1 night in two Harbors, we stayed at the Voyageur Motel, because the price was right and the location was right on the highway. It was a bit noisy with traffic noise, but not that bad. The beds were comfy and we had a good stay. I would stay here again.

I stayed here recently with a buddy. It was my first experience of a real motel in the US and was very interesting. The room was very small and very clean. The lady who runs the motel was extremely friendly and welcoming. A good place to stay if you're on a tight budget and don't plan to do more than... More

Stayed several days. No complaints :-) Located right on hwy 61 in the center of town. Nice owner, very helpful. Reasonably priced considering the popularity of the North Shore in the summertime. The cool breezes off lake Superior were a bonus!

We chose this place as a resting stop on our way up the north shore from the twin cities. The lady who runs the place is the nicest person. if people need something , they just need to ask. The place is right on hwy 61, so you will hear the traffic. if that bothers you. We slept just fine... More

We dropped in here as we were passing through the north shore drive. This is a basic, no fuss no frills place. Comfy, warm and not expensive - we didn't need anything more. There is coffee on from 5am and it is not far from the towns bars and restaurants. The shower was good and powerful, the bed was comfy... More

We had difficulty finding places to stay--lots of people traveling to see the leaves change. We decided to give this place a try because of the reviews. It was very disappointing. Our room was very small with a full-sized bed and a twin bed crammed into it. There was no air conditioning and our windows wouldn't open (other rooms did... More

It appears the reviews for this motel have either been very good or very bad. The bottom line is that the rooms for this old timey 9 room motel are somewhat small. However they are kept very clean and the lady I spoke with when registering was quite nice. We paid $60.00 for the night we stayed there. I did... More
