After Country Inn put me on "hold" (While i listened to the desk clerk chat with customers for 10 minutes) I called the Voyageur Motel. It was a great value. It was clean and not smelly. Lots of towels. comfortable bed. No breakfast but I am sick of those "continental" starch and sugar bars anyway. The proprietor directed us to... More

I would stay at Voyageur Motel again in a heartbeat! Yes, it is an older model motel, so if that is an issue, then, maybe elsewhere is a good choice. My experience was a very friendly atmosphere, an extremely clean (immaculate!) room, and a great price. Open the windows, you're on the north shore. Rooms may not have air conditioning,... More

To be honest we drove up to this hotel prepared to cancel and go somewhere else first impressions were not good What a surprise its a standard motel but very clean and tidy bed had a lovely laundered smell but was very old and creaky. Rooms are small but adequate. This is also in a very good location. Was cheap... More

So it's a motel not hotel. We decided to stay here because it was a lot cheaper then the hotels in town. It could use some updating and it did have a old smell (at first) but it does the job. The staff was friendly. There is no air but there was fans in the room. They have cable and... More

We stayed 3 nights here and the room for 3 was clean and tidy but lacked a small fridge which would have made our budget stay easier, but we were given ice to help cool items bought for snacks etc. A microwave was provided in the reception area which we put to constant use boiling water for a cup of... For this Mom and Pop place it wasn't too bad. Interesting room remodel. The only problem we had was that the toilet must have been leaking water because every once in a while, it would fill up the tank again. Nice place to stop on our Lake Superior tour. Beds were very comfortable. DIdn't notice any road noises. Very easy... More

Our 1 night in two Harbors, we stayed at the Voyageur Motel, because the price was right and the location was right on the highway. It was a bit noisy with traffic noise, but not that bad. The beds were comfy and we had a good stay. I would stay here again.

I stayed here recently with a buddy. It was my first experience of a real motel in the US and was very interesting. The room was very small and very clean. The lady who runs the motel was extremely friendly and welcoming. A good place to stay if you're on a tight budget and don't plan to do more than... More

Stayed several days. No complaints :-) Located right on hwy 61 in the center of town. Nice owner, very helpful. Reasonably priced considering the popularity of the North Shore in the summertime. The cool breezes off lake Superior were a bonus!

We chose this place as a resting stop on our way up the north shore from the twin cities. The lady who runs the place is the nicest person. if people need something , they just need to ask. The place is right on hwy 61, so you will hear the traffic. if that bothers you. We slept just fine... More
