Spent one night in the Temperance River Room. Very cozy and spacious room with refrigerator, micro wave, coffee pot, table and couch. Breakfast is available but must be reserved prior to 7 pm the night before and isn't served until 8:30 am which was a little late for use since we had lots to do the next day. Inn is... More

Although our room was a bit dated, it was spotlessly clean and the owners had even left us homemade cookies. The location is great, right between Gooseberry Falls and Split Rock Lighthouse. The yard and fire pit are nice with a pretty, but limited, view of the lake. I would definitely stay again.

My wife and I needed a close get-away to celebrate our anniversary. So glad we found this little North Shore gem!! J Gregor's is located between Gooseberry State Park and a Split Rock SP. The Gitchi-Gami State Trail runs through the property and the owners rent bicycles! If you want to visit those parks, but don't want to rough it,... More

Had a great stay in Lake Superior Cabin at j greger's inn. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and leant us a handy book of day hikes for our visits to Gooseberry and Split Rock River state parks. j greger's inn is conveniently located and only a couple of miles north of Castle Danger where there are a couple... We found J.Greger's Inn years ago & continue to love it. Many amenities other than just a motel room. The owners are so friendly & help you find a hiking trail, shopping, restaurants or outdoor adventure. Breakfasts are wonderful and not to be missed. We usually use the inn as our 'home base' and venture out to explore all the... More

A real find. Kitchen, two bedrooms, view of the Lake. Very nice. I like being able to not only make coffee in the morning , but also dinner at night. They serve a full breakfast at the owner's house next door, if you tell them the night before, but you have to eat with everyone else. We did this one... More

My husband and I have nothing but positive things to say about the J. Gregers Inn. We really enjoyed our stay there Oct. 9-Oct. 11, 2012. We drove up from Texas to visit my parents in St. Paul and brought them along with us to enjoy the fall beauty of the North Shore. My parents stayed in the Split Rock... More

Let me start by saying there were lots of motels on the North Shore right off Hwy 61 and they will all have highway noise. I do wish the owners had built a berm or put in evergreens to block the noise, because otherwise this was a great place. I stayed in the Gooseberry Room which was perfect for one.... More

I made a two-night reservation at the Gregers Inn to celebrate our anniversary this July. Our stay was a big disappointment. Main reason? No one was there to oversee the guests and their needs. Had I known that, I never would have booked the reservation. But just two days before our arrival the innkeeper sent us an email, advising they... More

My husband and I stayed ther this weekend (Nov 4-6) from friday thru sunday at the Lake Superior Cabin. It's small but very cozy and has everything you need. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It's a great place to stay at any season!
