This is a very beautiful campground on the shore of Lake Superior. The sites are level, although somewhat close together. The view & location are excellent. They have added a new area across the road which is tiered and was full of big rigs!!!! The bathrooms were clean & even though the campground was more than half full, they were... More

We've stayed at Burlington Bay twice and had a good experience each time. Some of the camping spots overlook Lake Superior. That view alone makes this campground better than most. The bathrooms are clean. There is a nice playground, and there is access to the rocky shore and a beach. Some of the camping spots are tight and the wifi... More

The campground was nice. The RV pads were level and spaced adequately apart. The office staff was helpful -- however, be mindful of their hours! I was initially concerned about noise as it was fairly close to road, but it wasn't bad.

We spent 6 nights there in August 2013. We are regular RV campers and try out various campgrounds. The location right on Lake Superior is awesome. The campground is not as fancy as some private ones but the location makes it worthwhile. The sites near the road are noisy from traffic but the ones next to the lake are peaceful... More

I checked in for 3 nights unfortunately my tent that I had just bought was a dud I was totally rained upon, needles to say I had to leave soaking wet at 8 AM Friday morning, PLENTY of time for them to rent out the space for the entire weekend(I am sure they did it was (Grandmas Weekend) I was... The campground is pretty snug, and is better for RVs than tents. If tent camping, try to get in at gooseberry or another state park. They do have bathrooms and showers, but there aren't many. Luckily, there aren't many there without an rev, so there usually wasn't a wait. It is right by hwy 61, so if you're in a... More

We booked this campground not knowing what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. They asked if we wanted a bay view or closer to the restrooms. We chose closer to the restrooms, but we could still sit by the campfire and see big boats going by on Lake Superior. One evening we could hear a boat being loaded at... More

My husband and I are somewhat new to camping (travel trailer style). However, we have stayed at enough campgrounds to know that Burlington Bay Campground is better than average. Yes, the first section appears to be a little more crowded; but then, you don't have to stay in that section. We stayed in the most North section and found the... More

We visited this campground in July 2012, on our way from Canada to Wisconsin. Don't stop! We had campsite 14, which was on top of campsite 13 and 15. We couldn't even put out our awning, for fear of hitting our neighbors camper. The bathrooms were disgusting. There are only 2 shower stalls. While I was in the shower, a... More

We stayed here 2 nights prior to running the Grandma's Marathon. It was so nice. We stayed in the north section and had a beautiful view of the bay. Loved it. I would stay here again in a minute!
