A gem on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Very peaceful, beautiful setting. Gooseberry Falls, Split Rock Lighthouse and Tettagouche State Parks close by. Winter is a beautiful time to visit here. Beautiful sunrise over the lake. Quiet. Very clean, new Cabin #1.

Fantastic view. Very peaceful. Cabin 8 is great! Enjoyed with my family of 5. Will look forward to returning in the fall and winter. Love the distance between Gooseberry Falls and Two Habors. Luxurious bedrooms and living areas.

We stayed for two nights in Cabin #7, watching the near-full moon rise over the partially frozen lake and seeing it rise even higher outside our bedroom window throughout the night. The cabin was wonderfully quiet and cozy inside, especially while relaxing on the recliner and couch next to the gas fireplace (and there was still lots of room for... More

We have been coming to Gooseberry Cabins for over 40 years. We stay in #5, one of the two remaining original cabins and just love our spot perched on the rocky ledge of the shore! We are on their reservation log ad infinitum! Though our cozy "home away from home" is showing a little age and will soon have its... More

I stayed for 2 nights in Cabin #7. It was great! The kitchen items were all provided and I even was able to borrow a 1/2 cup of sugar from the owners. Comfortable lounging chair and couch. Great view of the lake. I really liked the gas fireplace. The only drawback would be the shower. It's quite small and the... More

This is the most wonderful resort! Every cabin is right on the lake and there's usually a beautiful breeze blowing through the windows. I like the 4 stand-alone cabins best. Two of them have been rebuilt and have all the modern conveniences, as do units 6-8, but two of the cabins are still rustic. They are the 'up-at-the-lake' type cabins... More

I have been coming to this delightful place for years with family and friends; it is my favorite place to stay on the North Shore. It is half a mile off the highway so you don't have the road noise, just the peaceful sound of water. We have stayed in four of the cabins and they each have their unique... More

We wanted to take grandkids to a place that was right on Lake Superior and this resort absolutely fits the bill. The view is spectacular. No TV which was greatly appreciated by the grandparents. Unfortunately, the bedding was inferior which made sleeping something of a chore. Our unit had a full kitchen which we used extensively. However the pots, pans,... More

We called to make a reservation for late summer and we were told that on the dates we selected, another family stays at that time every year, in Cabin 5. Although Cabin 5 was not rented as of yet to that family for those dates, we were turned away. The lady that we spoke with on the phone was very... More

our blunder - we didn't read the fine print. the "cabin" was really a triplex and we were on the lower level. We had people noisily overhead and no privacy. The room was not very clean and the decor not "rustic" but simply outdated. very disappointing. location is good, nice lake view and the rock ledges are great for evening... More
