The restaurant is terrifc ( even if we were the only ones in there! ) Food excellent. Room ( 19 ) just OK - pillows awful - stubbed my toe repeatedly on the bed. TV only worked if you were right in front of it.. Great spot for romantic get away - little room at the top of the stairs... more

Before staying at the Lowell Inn I had read over reviews and am glad to say that I had went against some of the bad reviews previously written on this site. We, my fiancee and I, decided to plan a get away in Stillwater and looked over all of our options for stays. The price seemed more reasonable compared to... more

Had an engagement event planned--booked 2 months in advance with only 2 requirements--a sofa and a 2-seater jacuzzi which was advertised on their web site. Also made reservations for dinner assuming that their menu was the same as the one on the web site. When we arrived, no sofa, no jacuzzi, the room rates were substantially increased. Both I and... more

A weekend at the Lowell Inn was my husband's birthday gift to me, and I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel (although unlike others, we have not stayed in other B&B's before). I found it to be a quaint, Victorian setting, nicely decorated, and the front desk staff was always friendly. I loved our room, so much so that I would like... more

We wanted to stay at the Lowell Inn for our Anniversary. However, it was not a wise choice. When we arrived at the Lowell Inn, no one was there to greet us. We stood at the desk for 15 minutes. Finally we went walking around to find someone. We found a server at the restaurant to help us. She said... more

Friends had suggested the Lowell Inn due to its interesting historical character. This was indeed, the best part of the Inn experience. It is clearly extremely old, and its quite baroque lobby and landings are interesting. However, we have stayed at many other 'historic' inns and B & Bs that are far superior in quality, and it appears that the... more

This is a quiet, historic hotel from the 1930's, beautifully restored and one block from the busy Stillwater downtown district. My room was relatively inexpensive and very unique, with antique furnishings. Very much the atmosphere of an old B&B. The lobby is ornate and also has a high-end restaurant. Free use of computer & Internet was a plus. more
