Loved staying here. Scenery was spectacular and the cabins really made the most of it. The walk from the car park was very steep but I was still able to make it when 19 weeks pregnant. The restaurant was beautiful and quite reasonably priced. Communal kitchen was well equipped. We had a wonderful time and have recommended it to everyone... More

This is definitely something else. It's deep within a forest and the little huts are quite unique. We only had backpacks and decided to walk to reception, and it was a bit of a hike, mostly uphill. Needless to say we were in the pool in a jiffy. The pool is lovely clean and inviting, amongst the trees. You should... More

The grounds are amazing. The restaurant and cabins are beautifully built and well cared for. The location is off the beaten path so it lives up to its name as a sanctuary. The sanctuary is away from the parking lot and you must call on arrival to get a pick-up to take you to the facilities from the lot. They... More

I stayed for three nights in a rainforest hut and slept, showered, swimmed and relaxed in beautiful surrounds. I loved the fabulous laid back hosts, great amenities for either self catering or eating in the restaurant, and relaxing couch for reading before heading back to the rainforest hut. Being nestled in the rainforest was incredibly beautiful and immersive and the... More

We stayed at the Sanctuary for one night to break our drive between Port Douglas and Airlie Beach at an interesting location. We are big fans of nature and so the rainforest location appealed to us. I wasn't quite ready for a room with no walls though, so we had one of the cabins. Arriving in the car park we... More

I stayed here on a yoga retreat with a lot of people that I didn't know. The layout of this place makes for an easy stay in such a situation with lots of opportunities for time to yourself whilst still having communal areas to meet new people. The food here is fantastic and so is the view. The Eco cabins... More

Stayed in cabin instead of the web walled units, because we needed electricity. The cabin windows open so I still heard all the morning sounds and smelled the smells. Tropical jungle, cassowaries, near solitude, and the great barrier reef is just a boat trip away. What more could we ask for? Oh yeah, amazing menu choices, comfortable bed, and very... More

I have stayed here that many times now that I have become friends with the owners, I hope that does not bar me from writing an honest review on this place. This is the perfect escape from a crazy world, set deep inside the rain forest, but with awesome ocean views. I like the eco principles of this place, and... More

Idyllic setting. Welcoming, professional, laid back service provided by a lovely couple. Excellent food. Fabulous breakfast and the best steak we have had a restaurant for a long time. Initially reluctant to leave our motorbikes at the bottom of the hill but security is not an issue given the secluded location. The perfect getaway. We will definitely be back.
