I would like to thank all of the staff at Maddies for helping to create our perfect wedding. All the staff were very professional and lovely, nothing was ever to much to ask of them. The gardens are the perfect setting for a lovely wedding, the food was fantastic and we will definitely be returning. The rooms are lovely, clean... More

Didn't stay here but had breakfast on a Sunday. We were blown away by the food offered for breakast - too many choices really from home cooked staples to gourmet spreads etc. Beautiful grounds and garden

Stayed at marries for a couple of nights. Rooms were good, clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Alison. Breakfast was great also. The down sides: noise noise and more noise. There is a fair bit of road noise and the room we had opens almost directly to the restaurants front door making for very noisey evenings.... More

My husband and I booked our stay on Check -in, in May to stay at Maddies while we attend a concert in the Hunter. I was informed via email on the day of the Concert by Maddies (in November), they were double booked and we were booked in somewhere else, only to find out we were staying in someones house... More

We stayed in a studio within a main house and found it very adequate for our needs. It had a lounge area, bathroom, bedroom with a very comfortable bed, kitchen with lots of goodies for the breakfast the next morning, delicious muffins, yoghurt, fruit, juice, variety of breads, crumpets, croissants, blueberries etc etc. We felt very comfortable staying there, all... Booked 2 rooms in the B & B (by e-mail through Maddies) for 1 night so we could attend a concert in the Hunter Valley. Price was reasonable and included a continental breakfast which was superb. Rooms were clean (although one was quite small) and fulfilled our requirements. Much better than we had expected.

The issue here is simply the price matching the experience. From Wotif.com, we paid $220 for a room with 2 singles. For this price in Sydney, you can stay at the Sofitel with a view.. If we'd paid $120 total, we would have been OK. Instead, we got a room up the road at the back of a very ordinary... More

We stayed at Maddies' family accommodation - "woods Cottage"which is off site. On arrival at Maddie's to collect the key we were greeted with homemade cakes which were setup for us in a rotunda in the gardens. What beautiful grounds. Although our accommodation was around the corner from the main Bed and breakfast we were encouraged to make use of... More

We booked weeks ago, and the friend who suggested we stay there was surprised we got in! Now I know why! In plain english it is the worst accommodation ever! We arrived and were told the B&B was overbooked, even though we politely contacted "Maddies" during the prior week to confirm our reservation. Due to the overbooking were sent to... More
