We stayed 4 nights here in July. It was marvellous! This is a true Bed&Breakfast experience. As we were three of us we occupied both rooms and we were the only guests. There is a private bathroom with a large shower with good water pressure. Also there is a private living room with tea and cookies in the fridge. You... More

Thanks for the wonderful review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay - we enjoyed your company too. I hope the rest of the trip went well and that you have lots of lovely memories. Tell Katharina that the next guests got to see and photograph Kermit's little brother or sister - Kermit was in hiding. More

This advice is purely for Trip Advisor as I know of many people looking for a great place like this but they never find it as it is listed separately under Alligator Creek which is a suburb of Townsville Qld but not under Townsville itself. Don't understand why as there are many suburbs in Townsville and all the other motels/B&B/hotels... More

The change to location has seriously affected our bookings and it is so frustrating to have worked hard for such lovely reviews and then have the business threatened by a new rule! I keep pleading to go back in the Townsville area search and will continue trying. Thanks for your comments anyway. More

A lovely, if all to short, stay with Helen and Colin. Just what I needed to recharge my batteries a bit and a great base from which to visit some dear friends. Helen and Colin offer a very comfortable balance of being friendly but at the same time allowing their guest to feel comfortably able to retreat into the sitting... More

On our trip up north to Atherton we stayed for two nights at the Alligator Creek Bed&Breakfast. Our room, the blue room, was nice and tidy, and the big bathroom is in an excellent condition. Helen and Colin, our lovely hosts, took a lot of time and effort to show us the plants and animals in their backyard. Helen even... More

Thanks for the great and very personal stay. The breakfast with all the homemade ingredients was wonderfull. We had a lot of nice talkings and afterour day trips it feels like coming home. The green frog was one of the night highlights, but we missed the python. :-) Thanks also for the good recommendations Best regards from Some germans living... More

Truly enjoyed staying at Helen and Colin's place out "in the sticks". Our room was impeccable and as we were the only guests we didn't have to share bathroom or toilet either. We didn't use TV which was in the lounge. Nor made any tea/coffee ourselves, facilities which were also in a separate room. Very well organised. Instead we enjoyed... More

Helen and Colin provided lovely personal attention and conversation during our all too short visit this July. We enjoyed the tour of the gardens and seeing all the birds and animals. Our daughter really got a thrill out of meeting the tree frog that lives out out front. They steered us towards the local bowling club for dinner and a... More

Thank you so much for the lovely review. We're glad you enjoyed your short stay as much as we enjoyed having you here. You were very brave joining a group of keen Queensland supporters for the match but you saw a very important part of Australian life - sport! The frog still makes his nightly hop around the house -... More

I and my wife visited Australia the first time. And Townsville was a start point of our trip. It was very great to meet Helen and Colin at the beginning of our journey. Staying in their house was cozy and comfortable like at home. Although we have bad speaking English it was easy to talk with Helen and she attentively... More

Thank you for the wonderful review. We felt priveleged to introduce you to Australia and we really enjoyed learning about your country. You coped very well with English - even though explaining 'scrambled eggs' was a bit difficult you learnt very quickly. I hope Olga's indoor garden is doing well. More

As we drove in we were greeted by Helen, Colin, and the wallabies in the front yard. Helen and Colin were so accommodating with breakfast and our early morning starts. Even though we only stayed one night it was very enjoyable. Helen & Colin are wonderful hosts. Helen got her flashlight & showed us a tree frog. Breakfast was delicious. Helen gave us a tour of their beautiful yard. We spent the morning at the Billabong Sanctuary, just 5 minutes drive from Alligator Creek B&B. We loved feeding the kangaroos... More
