A great place to meet up with friends/family or an evening with ya partner 😊 not far from Retford so not too fsr to travel too. I would recommend this lovely family run place to visit and see for yourself..xx

On holiday in the area. Decided to eat here on a whim, Sat night around 7:30pm. Place was pretty full and obviously very popular with the locals. Ordered normal-sounding starters (baked Camembert and home-made pâté) and were impressed by the size, presentation and tastiness of both! The Camembert came with a whole head of baked garlic, loads of bread and... More

After a long walk around Idle Valley Nature reserve we were delighted to find the Bluebell Inn at Lound where we received a very warm welcome from all the staff and the locals. We were even given detailed directions for the second half of our walk by one of the reserves rangers who was enjoying a pint. The food was... More

The Bluebell Inn is my local pub. It started doing food only about 18 months ago and I think that they have got the offer exactly right! They deserve a lot of credit for investing in our local community and providing really good food at a price that reflects value for money. Their standard steak & Ale pie, with a... More

A second visit for us after being impressed with our meal there over Christmas after our walk from the Pub around the Idle Valley Nature Reserve, which was also excellent. Again, a good walk followed by some lovely food with time taken to prepare fresh and good tasting meals with some nice cask ales to wash it down. A friendly... More

been quite a few times here. Love the place. The service and food are great. Not over priced and a good choice on the menu. We will certainly be back. If you want my advice give this place a try. You will be regulars like us.

I have been to "the bluebell" a few times now for Sunday lunch, and I can highly recommend it. There is always a friendly welcome when you arrive. The food is outstanding!! Well done to Joanne & Ivor and all their hardworking staff!! See you all again really soon.

I don't think I would ever have found it or gone there if it hadn't been for friends we were visiting who were locals and took us there for dinner. They knew what they were doing as they were regulars and in no time at all I could see exactly why. It's an unpretentious place a proper pub that is... More

We spent a night at the Bluebell this week - a warm and friendly welcome, spacious and comfortable accommodation ( where our hound was welcome too) and a generous and interesting continental breakfast provided in our room. We also enjoyed a delicious meal in the pub, with a varied menu and local produce. We will return and visit this little... More
