My husband and I stayed here for the weekend with the main objective of seeing a Detroit Red Wings game. This hotel is so close to the hockey arena that we walked right over. I totally have to mention that at check in we saw our favorite hockey team going up to there rooms. This is a very nice hotel... More

This is a very nice classic downtown hotel. The rooms are small, but very nice and very well maintained. The room and bath were both very clean. The bedding and sheets very nice. Staff was very friendly, and the valet parking was great - saving lots of time and trouble finding a parking place in a ramp. Close to many... More

I was on a weekend getaway in conjunction with the Neil Diamond concert at the Excel Energy Center. The St Paul is conveniently located within an easy walk outside or indoors via concourse/tunnels to the venue. It is a grand hotel without seeming old and dated. The staff are very friendly and the cost was very reasonable for all of... More

The St. Paul Hotel is not the largest or most modern hotel, but it is very classy, well maintained, and the service is quite good. Lobby is small but lovely and the walk to elevators is easy. Valet parking. Close to attractions and stadiums in downtown.

This hotel is everything it advertises itself to be. The one distinguishing characteristic is the quality of service from its staff. Clearly, they are all on the same page. Everyone was friendly, from the housekeeping staff (lots of "good mornings") to the front desk, to the car valet. I thought my room was a bit awkwardly designed, with no tv... More

In town with friends, taking in all the St Patrick's Day activities, and was so happy to find the St Paul Hotel makes the perfect "home base". I called the concierge a few days ahead of time to make sure I knew the parking logistics (just pull up in the front "circle" and the valet parks your car---cost charged to... More

The room at the Saint Paul was small in size but nice and clean. The building is old but they've done a good job keeping the rooms modern. As I frequently criticize most hotels, the bathroom could use an upgrade. The hotel restaurant is excellent and I had a very nice business dinner there. I suspect they get a lot... More

We stayed here for the first time during the St. Paul Winter Carnival. It was a busy weekend in town and at the Hotel. We were able to check in a bit earlier and request a room with a view of Rice Park. Our room was perfect, spacious and beautiful. We felt like royalty. The view of Rice Park was... More

We were here for performances at the recently renovated Ordway Center for the Performing Arts and it was the best location we could find--not a five minute walk across Rice Park! We arrived just before noon and our room wasn't ready but they stowed our bags with the bell service and the concierge made excellent recommendations for lunch. Our room... More

The St. Paul Hotel has nearly as much history in St. Paul as any other hotel downtown. It sits in a historic part of St. Paul, across from the Landmark Center, The Ordway and McKnight Theaters, the huge, historic public library and a host of fabulous restaurants within walking distance. There are two bars in the hotel and a gourmet... More
