This hotel is everything it advertises itself to be. The one distinguishing characteristic is the quality of service from its staff. Clearly, they are all on the same page. Everyone was friendly, from the housekeeping staff (lots of "good mornings") to the front desk, to the car valet. I thought my room was a bit awkwardly designed, with no tv... More

In town with friends, taking in all the St Patrick's Day activities, and was so happy to find the St Paul Hotel makes the perfect "home base". I called the concierge a few days ahead of time to make sure I knew the parking logistics (just pull up in the front "circle" and the valet parks your car---cost charged to... More

The room at the Saint Paul was small in size but nice and clean. The building is old but they've done a good job keeping the rooms modern. As I frequently criticize most hotels, the bathroom could use an upgrade. The hotel restaurant is excellent and I had a very nice business dinner there. I suspect they get a lot... More

We stayed here for the first time during the St. Paul Winter Carnival. It was a busy weekend in town and at the Hotel. We were able to check in a bit earlier and request a room with a view of Rice Park. Our room was perfect, spacious and beautiful. We felt like royalty. The view of Rice Park was... More

We were here for performances at the recently renovated Ordway Center for the Performing Arts and it was the best location we could find--not a five minute walk across Rice Park! We arrived just before noon and our room wasn't ready but they stowed our bags with the bell service and the concierge made excellent recommendations for lunch. Our room... More

The St. Paul Hotel has nearly as much history in St. Paul as any other hotel downtown. It sits in a historic part of St. Paul, across from the Landmark Center, The Ordway and McKnight Theaters, the huge, historic public library and a host of fabulous restaurants within walking distance. There are two bars in the hotel and a gourmet... More

I stayed here briefly for a work conference. The location is good, connected to the Skyway, with several restaurants nearby. The light rail is a few blocks away via the Skyway. The hotel is very nice. Staff was friendly. Room and beds were outstanding. My only disappointment was the quality of the free internet. It was fairly slow and you... More

After a long flight, we arrived jet lagged, cold, and hungry. The Saint Paul Hotel was a warm and welcoming respite in the middle of the Minnesota winter. This is a classy hotel with comfortable common areas and rooms. The lobby bar and restaurant were a blessing for us wimpy out-of-towners who don't want to brave the cold, offering great... More

I really do love the St Paul. I've been staying here for 20 years, and it's still the only consistently solid hotel downtown. The rooms are very nice, the linens are high class (always shocks me when higher end hotels skimp here), the location is excellent, and the Grill is always spot on. They've done a good job in the... We make it a point to visit St. Paul each year, and this year it was last minute and on our anniversary. The St. Paul Hotel is very "Minnesotan"--classy, smart, polite and built for negative 15 below zero--which was the temp when we arrived. Because it is a gorgeous, historic hotel, and happens to be in Minnesota, there was a... More
