We stayed here for a wedding. The room we had had a king bed, and a double bed. Both were very comfortable. Two bathrooms in our room, although the toilet didn't work right in one of the bathrooms. Due to a late check-out before us, we didn't get into our room until 3:30, and since the wedding was at four,... More

I love boutique hotels and search for them in every city I visit. So I was excited to find Hotel 340 on TripAdvisor. The hotel is located on two floors in the St.Paul Athletic Center which is a lovely old building. The lobby is stunning and it was quite lively during our visit with participants from a mixology class, attendees... More

The building is amazing! Old St. Paul building with elegant lobby including an automatic piano playing classical music. Receptionist / bar tender (strange I know, but it works) Ned?, was very hospitable, offered help with my bags, good conversation and made us good drinks and food recommendations. The rooms are comfortable, and offer cool views of downtown. Breakfast was solid.... More

First, let me say that I went back and forth between a 4 and a 5 rating on this hotel. It's a 4.5, really. We loved it and would stay here again without hesitation. I read a lot of reviews and didn't experience some of the more common problems some people mentioned. We had not only 1, but 2, people... More

We came to St. Paul from Chicago to see a niece star in her high school musical, A Little Shop of Horrors. Both the musical and the hotel were delightful. The hotel is on several floors of an old city club and retains its grand feel. The rooms are smallish but elegant. The real stars of this place are the... More

The Hotel 340 is in a building with character. It was clean. The beds were comfortable. The "queen suite" was a little unusual....one large room, 2 queen beds facing each other, and 2 small bathrooms. The desk attendant was friendly. Areas to improve: one of the windows in my room had no lock, the shower had a constant drip, the... More

It's a typical cold day in Minnesota and I am warm, cozy and happy. There is a warm fireplace in the lobby along with a bar. We brought our wine up to our room and I just finished a steam bath which amazingly is in our room. We booked a queen suite. The bathroom is bigger than the bedroom. I... More

This is a unique hotel in a great downtown St. Paul location. We just spent a chilly Valentine's evening in St. Paul, dining and attending a concert. The hotel is connected to restaurant and show venues by skyway so we never had to venture out into the cold! Our room was very nice, quaint and clean. However, the hotel lacks... More

Cool hotel with a lot of charm. If you want something different, this is the place for you. It almost feels like you have traveled 50 years back in time (our room key was an actually key, when's the last time you've seen that!). Lobby is beautiful and nostalgic. Our room was clean and the staff was friendly. We were... More
