I was a recently guest at the Kahler Grand hotel. I was a bit skeptical after reading some reviews on here and was very pleasantly surprised. Yes the hotel is older and lacks some of the modern appeal found newer hotels; however the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. My room was dated but clean. The tub was smaller but... more

I really enjoyed my stay. It is connected to a mall with plenty of shops and restaurants. I never had to go outside. There was a delicious little gelato store in the mall. Great location! The rooms were a little out-dated, but clean. I would definitely stay there again. more

I stayed in The Kahler Grand Hotel for 10 nights while my husband underwent several tests and procedures at Mayo. All of the hotel employees were very nice and professional throughout the entire hotel. We booked an economy room, which was a smaller hotel room than I am used to, but it was comfortable and cozy. The special requests I... more

The Grand Kahler is located attached to the Mayo Clinic. It's primary clients are those seeking medical treatment and their families. We were there for a convention that was not medical related. It didn't seem to work for us. To the Grand Kahler's credit, they guarantee your room if you need to extend your trip (they won't kick you out... more

I was impressed with the efficincey of the staff and the overall kindness from everyone. We chose this hotel because of it's location to the Mayo Clinic. We recieved a discounted rate because my husband was seeing the doctors there. It was nice to park for free in the garage and we would definitley stay here again. I would agree... more

I really enjoyed the Kahler. They have AMAZING prices if you are affiliated or are visiting the Mayo Clinic. It's directly across the street and handicap accessible. The morning breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The rooms are a little bit dated, so if you are looking for a new mattress with big fluffy pillows, look elsewhere.... more

I stayed with my mom and aunt, for a visit to Mayo. On arrival, we were upgraded to an enourmous suite, much nicer than the 2 seperate rooms I booked. Wonderful staff- the bellman gave us a mini-tour of the surrounding area. Mayo is just across the street, and connected underground as well.I like that we could open all the... more

My husband and I traveled to Rochester for a very difficult surgery that he was scheduled for. Staying at the Kahler Grand made a very difficult situation a little easier and a little less stressful. Everyone of their staff are so sweet, accomodating, and very compasionate. I would never stay any where else in Rochester. more

Lobby and public rooms comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I was in Rochester for an appointment at the Mayo Clinic and the Kahler is the only hotel I would stay in if I had the choice. The rooms are typical historic style rooms......no flat screens....but comfortable. The food was good but not like I remembered from 20 years... more
