Although I had asked for a room facing the Gonda Building just across the street from the Kahler, I was told that there were no rooms like what I wanted. I know that isn't true because we have stayed there before. And we had a room facing the Gonda. The bottom of the shower was so slick that I put... More

great location if you are visiting the Mayo Clinic. the hotel is clean and quiet and the restaurants are fantastic. I am on a gluten free diet and the Grand grill had many options on the menu. Lord Essex is a very nice restaurant if you want to treat yourself!

1st experience with Kahler Grand will ensure I "never" recommend them to anyone. No loyalty to Mayo employees during a winter weather emergency. Unwilling to accept approved voucher due to booking online versus calling them directly. Unfriendly staff especially manager on duty. No choice but to pay for room. Can't imagine how they treat patients.

I know it is hard to understand, but as was explained during your check-in, we do not have control over third party online reservations. I am sorry this was missed on your instructions as reservations need to be made with a Kahler booking site or phone number. Bookings.com and any online booking engine we do not have control of. Again,... More

Front desk staff are rude, especially the manager! Mayo called the emergency staffing plan and I called earlier today to be sure I had a room and they said yes and all I had to do was bring my Mayo voucher. When we came to check in they wouldn't accept the voucher because I booked online. If it weren't for... More

Overall a good experience. Like many others, I had surgery and stayed a couple weeks. I can not say enough good about the bellmen who graciously pushed me in a wheelchair to the Mayo Clinic over and over. The front desk staff were courteous as well. Yes, the hotel is a little older, but my handicap room bathroom had plenty... More

We stayed more than a weeks, where I recovered after surgery. The best choice for patients. Room was excellent, bathroom ideal for temporary disabled patients, Few minutes walk to Mayo Clinic buildings, all is connected with tun ells underground (at this time the temperature outside was - 25 degree. Strongly recommend.

Thank you for staying with us at the Kahler Grand. It cannot be anymore convenient being connected via skyway and our underground concourse which is full of an array of shops and dining options. More

On the outside looks like a nice hotel till I opened the door to my room. First thing I noticed was a narrow entrance like walking into a closet. Basement type window with the view of a parking garage. The bed was like sleeping on a board. Found hair under the blankets on fitted sheet. Slept on top of them... More

This was my ninth stay at The Kahler. My room was quite nice-- quiet and comfortable. Unfortunately, hot water was in short supply and the television had reception problems. The parking is really poor. Tight spaces and a frequently broken exit box are more than a nuisance especially since the temperature was -14°. I returned home to multiple parking charges... More

We spent a few nights at the Kahler Grand Hotel at the end of January 2016. We booked our room through Hotel.com with no issues. We arrived late on Tuesday evening and checked into our Standard King Room. The room was absolutely adequate. Wednesday morning we stopped by the front desk and talked with the manager, Mary Hill. We asked... More

Walls are paper thin. As most people staying here are current Mayo Clinin patients, you can hear a lot...too much. Most if not everything is outdated. Bathroom is super small, vanity area is also small and poorly lit. Heating in room does not work. Parking is not always available in the ramp, so one needs to find parking elsewhere and... More
