My wife and I stayed two nights during a series of appointments at Mayo Clinic. Access to the clinic via the underground walkway (called the Subway locally) was a snap--the hotel elevators go directly to that level. The hotel staff were uniformly attentive, friendly and helpful. Antipasto buffet for lunch in Salute, the hotel restaurant, was a great deal at... More

We chose those hotel because it seemed the absolute closest to the Mayo buildings we would need to be at. The entrance is very small, not enough valet staff to help unload/park and it was under 0degrees. Check-in was smooth. We were on concierge level-snacks at night were good and varied each night, breakfast was absolutely the same every AM.... More

We stayed the first weekend in January. The service was amazing, the hotel was clean, quiet and had a lot of stuff to do. The pool was great, and warm enough for parents to want to swim with their kids. The hot tub was also refreshing on a cold day! We had other plans, but the hotel restaurant looked like... More

I'm always a big Marriott fan, and on this occasion I was ensconced in the Marriott Mayo during a blizzard and subzero temperatures. Great accommodations, other than the fact that I wasn't able to get the room temperature to a comfortable setting and remained somewhat chilly. The conference room was also both too hot and too cold as our team... More

This is an excellent choice for Mayo Clinic patients. A nice hotel, which is conveniently connected to the clinic-area underground tunnels via both elevator and escalator. Also connected to the the elevated Skyway walkway, so no need to go out in the weather for most downtown journeys. Hotel personnel very helpful and responsive. My room was very pleasant and clean,... This Marriott serves a purpose for travels who are coming to the Mayo clinic. It is connected via the second floor and the sub street level. This hotel is older. My guess is the 80's. With that said the rooms are smaller, especially the bathroom. If you hung a towel on the knob of the bathroom door, the door would... More

I had an entire day of testing at Mayo Clinic and needed somewhere to rest that wasn't a hospital waiting area. Walking through the Mayo subways, I spotted the Marriott. I called and they had one room ready for immediate check-in. They gave me the day rate (I checked in at 9am and checked out at 4pm), which was $120.... More

This is a very nice Marriott ands great location linking by tunnels to the Mayo Clinic and to the Skyway for shopping and food. If the weather is bad you literally never need to go outside. The rooms are HUGE. My room was on the 7th floor. It was nice and quiet and overlooked the indoor pool, which is very... More

Staff is very good, attentive & engaged. The bellmen/doormen were all top notch, very friendly and always smiling and interacting warmly with all guests. Downtown location was excellent & being attached to the skyway system made getting around simple and enables you to get out while being inside & away from the cold. Bar area/Lounge was nice.... relaxing setting that... More

The real positive is that the hotel allows pets. I am thankful for that policy because many hotels in Rochester do not. However the allowed rooms are only on the third floor, which was not explained in advance to me. I had alerted them by email about bringing my small dog and I had booked a room on the concierge... I apologize for the miscommunication about our pet policy. I do understand how this could be upsetting. Along with pet owners, we also have to be considerate of our non-pet owners. We do our best to keep all happy. Thank you for your comments. If there is anything I can do to make it better for next time, feel free... More
