I traveled to Rochester to see my niece take the lead role in the local high school musical and wanted to avoid staying on the couch and relatives at my brother’s house. Figuring Rochester would be quiet on the weekend I checked into the Marriott attached to the Mayo Medical Center. Little did I know Rochester was filled with families... more

We stayed at the Hotel for five days on the Concierge level while viisting the Mayo Clinic. The service was very good, the staff was most pleasant, and we enjoyed the food in the hotel's restaurant. The lighting is not great in the rooms and the workout area is not in an ideal area as it is in an atrium... more

We stayed here while I was a patient at the Clinic, and our stay was 7 days. We had chosen this hotel due to the nice reviews here and the somewhat negative tone of the Kahler reviews. Then we found a great rate on Expedia that included breakfast for 2 each morning, which made it all the nicer. Arrival was... more

We stayed at the Marriott for two nights while visiting a relative at the Mayo Clinic. Check is was fine, the valet was kind of short with us, but other than that everything was okay. Valet parking is $14 per day. Our room was large with a king bed and a fold out sofa. The bed was comfortable. The fold... more

Great hotel! I got a great rate on Priceline 4*. Our room was clean, check in was very easy. They had a hand computer in the lobby where you could check into your flight and print boarding passes, no charge. Our room had a nice vanity/bar area seperate from the bathroom. I didn't feel like they gave me a "Priceline... more

This hotel is in a perfect location for out-of-towners going through the Mayo Clinic. Inside passage all the way. Room very nice, clean, room service fast, excellent, responsive. But apparently antiquated plumbing. Took at least 10 minutes to get even lukewarm water, and it never got hot. Slightly warmer in the washbowl. Realize hotel may have governor on water to avoid... more

We stayed at the Marriott last July and are returning once again this July! When I arrived in Minneapolis after a flight from NY, I was really tired and the Rochester Direct shuttle brought us to the Marriott late morning around 11:00 a.m. Although, check in time was 3 p.m. we telephoned enroute from the shuttle with a request for... more

We stayed at the hotel the same time as the "sports mom". My Dad had to have reconstructive surgery on short notice. We went up for the weekend with our 3 kids. We stayed on the concierge floor. John (who manages the hotel) the bell staff, concierge floor staff and maid service all were terriffc. MOST hotels (except for theme... more

My mom and I brought my blind father in a wheelchair to Mayo for a 2nd opinion on his terminal cancer. The convenience of the Marriott allowed us to return to our rooms (adjoining on the 8th floor) and rest between his morning and afternoon appointments. I travel a lot, spending more than 160 nights a year in hotels and... more

Our youth basketball league booked a block of rooms this past weekend (Feb 29- March 3) for a city wide youth basketball tournament. This hotel HATES kids. They were rude to the kids. Un-accommodating to their parents. Down right snooty. I have stayed in many Marriotts but I would never give this hotel my money again. The hotel was angry... more
