I believe the rooms vary in size, mine was extremely small but that isn’t the reason for the rating. For me it was simply depressing all the way around, the elevator felt like it was going to fall out from under me and shook excessively when it stopped on my floor. I had to climb on a chair to reach... More

The front desk folks were the most helpful and friendly of any inn I have ever stayed at. The room was quaint, not large, but quite comfortable. I was staying there because it was close to the Mayo Clinic and I was ill so I had no trouble going back and forth.

I have used the Days Inn Downtown for many years. It is a cost effective alternative to the polished brass in the area. I appreciate it being there and hope it is not consumed in the never-ending improvement of properties surrounding the clinic. It is adjacent to the clinic, connected by subway, and you don't have to wait out a... More

This is a very old 5 story hotel, block and 1/2 from Mayo Clinic, it should have been more modern and up to date, it is not, the bath tub was not good, had an old shower curtain, it was clean, the entrance is old and not pleasant, had to stay one more night than we had anticipated and had... More

Days Inn downtown Rochester is a good budget choice if you aren't looking for a fancy place to stay near the Mayo. The rooms are dated and smaller but clean and comfortable. There is a nice cafe located in the hotel and the Mayo is a block away. You can walk anywhere downtown and the shuttle to St. Mary's is... More

Due to last minute Mayo appointments, we had to scramble to find a room for one more night. The Gold Rush was in town and sold out most of the rooms available. Sharon at the desk provided us with a room from a customer who would be a late check out. Very friendly and accommodating service. The hotel is old,... More

This is a very old hotel. We thought we only had to stay one night and were in room 511. Old but clean, enjoyed going downstairs to eat and then walk around town by the clinic on a beautiful evening. Had to stay an extra night and had checked out already and stayed in a room on the 3rd floor,... More
