This hotel was built in 1919. There were no bathrooms in the rooms then, so each room has had a bathroom and small closet cut into it. You have to step up a step to enter the bathroom cause they had to run the pipes under the new sub floor. The St. Paul Hotel in St. Paul is built the... more

Sorry this is so long, but I think you will find that it has all the info you need to decide if this is the hotel for you or not. I have stayed here several times and will stay here again. Before I stayed here the first time I looked on-line and notice the "mixed" reviews. I think it is... more

I booked my 5 night stay at this hotel because I had to take my 2 year old daughter to the Mayo Clinic. Upon arrival, I was shocked to discover that the rooms did not have a micro/fridge as posted on their website. I immediately went to the front desk and was told that not only did they not have... more

Stayed at the Day's Inn for 3 nights while going for tests at the Mayo Clinic. You can't beat the location--it was very convenient to return for a nap when we had time between appointments. True, this is an older building but everything was clean and comfortable. Yes, the elevator is a bit small but my wife and her mother... more

We chose Days Inn Downtown because it was so close to Mayo Clinic. Some of the past reviews had me worried. It turned out to be MUCH better than expected. The building is quite old, but it's obvious that Days Inn has done quite a bit of updating. Our room had 2 double beds, 2 sinks, a separate bath, a... more

If you want reasonable price, clean sheets, and friendly staff, try the Days Inn Downtown Rochester. It is across the street from Methodist Hospital and less than a block to entrance to subway to Mayo and Gonda Buildings. Building is old, room often small and dusting is not a priority...but we stay there often. Coffe, rolls, and internet available. Parking... more

The reservation was made 4 weeks prior. I had an appointment at Mayo Clinic. The day before my reservation, the hotel called and said their elevator was broken, and this is 5 floor building. They would not guarantee a 1st or 2nd floor room, they would not help me with my bags and they would not help me find alternate... more

We were in town for the night and needed to find a hotel that was close to the place where we would be going the next morning. The Days Inn fit the bill...............until we arrived. The front desk person was nice enough, but the whole atmosphere of the place was wrong. The elevator must have been converted from a dumbwaiter... more

Recently booked a weeks stay at the Days Inn Downtown Rochester, MN. We had appointments at Mayo Clinic during the week. I was quote a price on the phone and was told that there would be a "Mayo Patient" discount that we would receive upon checking in. We never did get that discount! The price I was charged was the... more
