We've stayed in four hotels in Rochester so far, and Residence Inn is one of our favorites. The room was huge, with a handy kitchenette--even wine glasses and fabric napkins. Plus a full breakfast and an afternoon snack. (Although the woman who checked us in didn't tell us about the snack and we went out for pasta, then came back... More

We travel to Mayo Clinic every fall. We normally stay at a different hotel but we decided to stay closer to Mayo this trip. It was a block walk through the tunnel to Gonda and Charlotte buildings and was great since we had time to come back to the room between appointments. They do have free breakfast however we did... We stayed here for a week whilst my wife visited the Mayo clinic. The staff were all very helpful and aware that most guests are having a tough time due to some medical issue. The rooms are good value for a longer stay and are a good size. Being able to self cater with the kitchen was good although there... More

9/8/14 - Third stay there now. As before, stay was good. The hotel's staff are very well aware of their clientele (ie, 90% are probably there due to visits to the Mayo Clinic). Due to this, ALL the staff is most helpful and try to accommodate you whenever possible. Rooms are very clean and well maintained - no complaints here.... More

This hotel is well-maintained, and located in central Rochester. Location is superb. Breakfast was great, with several hot choices along with pastries and cereals. The one major disappointment was lack of a swimming pool, however there was some sort of arrangement with other hotels to use their pool, but we did not try that. A/C in rooms (we had two)... More

Very clean hotel - one BR suite had great layout - friendly and helpful staff - direct underground access to Mayo and shops, restaurants, etc. - would only stay there if I ever went back to Rochester.

We loved our stay! We walked in our room and were in awe of how clean and updated it was--best place we have ever stayed at! The room couldn't have been more perfect. The next morning I was impressed with continental breakfast...it was hard to choose what to get because there were some many delicious options! If you need a... More

First of all let me say, we were not there for pleasure, we were there for medical reasons. This hotel is connected to the subway tunnel, that connects to the Mayo Clinic buildings, this was very convenient, did not have to deal with outside weather. We stayed in a one bedroom unit. It had a bedroom, bathroom, living room area... More

We had a 7 day stay in Rochester and the Marriott Residence was perfect for us. It is connected by underground walkway to the Mayo Clinic - VERY handy when it is cold, rainy or snowing! The staff was friendly and helpful. They even went to the grocery store and filled our grocery list and stocked the en suite refrigerator!!... More

The rooms are comfortable and very clean, but I'm sure that's true of a good many hotels in Rochester. What sets the Residence Inn apart is incredible customer service. Granted, it is the only hotel my wife and I have (twice) stayed at while in Rochester, so I have no basis for comparison, other hotels could only hope to match... More
