We travel frequently to Rochester because my husband is a patient at the Mayo Clinic. Usually stay at the Radisson, but they converted it to a Doubletree and jacked up the rates so I decided to try something different. The Staybridge had very nice reviews so I decided to book here. Unfortunately, my booking means nothing. The hotel is overbooked... more

It is unfortunate, but at times we have quests with medical issues that have to extend their stay, which in turn over books our hotel. It is never our intent to upset ANY guest when...

I came to Rochester, MN for the Mayo Clinic/St. Mary's Hospital. The Staybridge Suites is directly across from St. Mary's which was extremely convenient for me since I was going there for the Pain Rehabilitaion Center daily for 3 weeks. Also there is a shuttle that goes to Mayo and picks you up at Mayo to go back to Staybridge.... more

Despite having a prepaid reservation through Priceline, Staybridge Suites refused to honor this and refused to allow me to stay in a room in the hotel. They also refused to refund me the prepaid amount of $260 because they said my payment was made through Priceline. The front desk staff, specifically Stephanie and the general manager, Charmayne Cochran were particularly... more

In response to TravelingSurgeon’s comments… When making a “name your own price” on Priceline it states “All rooms will accommodate up to 2 adults. Requests for bed types (King, Queen, 2 Doubles, etc.) or other special needs (including preferences for smoking or non-smoking rooms) should be requested through your confirmed hotel and cannot be guaranteed.”(*) Upon your arrival we had...

We stayed 2 nights in a 1 bedroom suite. We moved from the Springhill Suites because we found that it was a much better value! (Make sure to ask for the Mayo discount if you are there for medical treatment.) I had my 15 month old daughter with us so it was important to have the comforts of home &... more

Within 5 minutes of requesting them, we had a crib and a nice high chair in the room that we used all week. Well, we didn't use them. The baby did. The walls did seem a bit thin but the hotel was very quiet at night. Maybe we just got good neighbors that went to bed early because during the... more

Pluses: Good value, friendly staff, decent breakfast in the AM, directly across street from St Mary's Hospital. Minuses: Not so clean, poor sound insulation, slow elevator. Don't get me wrong. Cute hotel in a great location for St Marys. Lots of value with breakfast in AM, in house complimentary laundry, and indoor parking. I found hotel to be lacking in... more

Pc member that booked through the 1-800 #, making it very clear that we were a 8th grade basketball team. Apparentely the hotel doesn't "allow teams" and they made it very evident throughout our stay that we were not welcome. We had a 10-day stay here in January -- need I say more about the weather -- with a family member at St. Mary's. I recommend the Staybridge Suites completely: it was a wonderful haven during an extremely stressful time. It is conveniently located across the street from St. Mary's. We had a cozy one-bedroom suite. Tip: the Canadian Honker... more
