This is probably the nastiest place Ive walked in. You can go down the street and pay a few dollars more and stay in a better room. It was so hot you couldnt stand it and the air was a horrible excuse for an air conditioner. The room smelled horrible. The room was a lot smaller than i imagined from... More

Wwhen I stayed here I ended up having to come in at midnight for a check in. is must be a family owned business because the person had to be woke up from the back. I was not able to get the person's name they seem to speak little English and did not wear a name tag. I could not... More

It's old but seems clean, foreign owners but very nice people. Tried this because the other motels are raising prices and taking advantage of people with already high medical bills. I may come back because it seems they are trying to make improvements' as money allows. Just wish the owner would read more of the reviews and respond. they have... More

When my husband was referred to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, one of our first concerns was how could we afford to stay in a motel? After searching the internet, I found the Red Carpet Inn to have by far the best rates. In addition, it was only two miles from the clinic and they offered a free shuttle... More

I stayed at the Red Carpet recently (January 2014) while undergoing tests at the Mayo clinic. If you require plush towels, spotless hallways, nearly complete soundproofing and the latest in terms of plumbing, HVAC and television then you won't be satisfied here. Then again you won't enjoy the $50 per night rates that people of more moderate means and expectations... More

This hotel is worth the price for those on a budget. Room was good and clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Microwave, fridge and coffee pot in room. I took food to eat so microwave and fridge were great for me since I didn't have money to eat at restaurants the whole time I was there. Free wi fi. Free... More

We stayed for 9 nights for a Mayo Clinic visit. This was our first trip to Rochester. The owners were very courteous and helpful. We asked for extra towels and they brought them right away. The rooms are a little dated, but we booked the least expensive room, and it was still large enough for two adults. We received a... More

Stayed overnight from Mich to S. Dakota. Room was remodeled somewhat with newer fixtures, carpet and bedspreads and fairly new paint. Our room was toward the back and was quiet without any street noise. This is an older building, but the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was limited to a few items. It was close to restaurants. Just... More

i usally dont have a problem staying in less expensive, less high name hotels when i am traveling as long as they are clean and I feel safe. This was not the case. If you read my reviews, you will see that I review a lot of hotels and am very tolerant and easy going, and stay in a variety... More
