Just returned today from this very disappointing hotel experience. First of all, I do not aim to write negative reviews about hotels and have no pretenses about frills or fancy fetishes. Simply, the desk staff had no skills at interpersonal relations, each one I interacted with over three nights was abrupt and lacked any congeniality. Despite a nearly empty floor,... more

I stayed for 2 nights on a business trip. The room was clean with comfortable beds (I had 2). The only drawback I found is that it was very warm even though I had the A/C cranking. Had a hard time sleeping. When I realized I could open the window slightly, the room cooled down. I found all the buildings... more

The rooms are very nice, the beds are very comfortable, it was quiet at night and the breakfast bar had a good variety each morning. The skyway is so nice and parking is convenient even though it is $10 extra per day. It is very close to the Mayo Clinic Civic Center right downtown. more

Once we found the hotel (hotel lobby on the second floor) everything seemed to be just ok. Could tell it was older and not updated. Once we got to our room it just went down hill from there. We were on the 8th floor overlooking the main street. It was about 75 during the day and 60 at night and... more

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. it is an excellent value for the money. The room was large with a comfortable reading chair and lamp as well as a a nice sized desk. There is a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker which is a plus. I was especially impressed with the condition of the room . Unlike other similar priced... more

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay here during a visit to Mayo Clinic. The hotel staff beginning with the front desk to housekeeping, were all courteous, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. They accomodated changes in our scheduled appointment to reserve a room for us even when we were unsure of the next appointment. Very... more

We always stay at Holiday Inn Express because they are so dependable. This one had a board for a bed, and was so noisy I could not sleep at night. I had an appointment at Mayo, so the redeeming factor was the access to the Skywalk. However, the extra cost, loud noise and uncomfortable bed will keep me from coming... more

The rooms, staff, service, and full breakfast was great!! It was very quiet, comfortable beds, clean rooms, friendly staff who were accomodated to all my needs. I appreciated the huge breakfast provided which included yogurt, fresh fruit, eggs, sausage and more. The business center allowed me to leave my lap top at home. It was nice to have such prompt... more

I stayed at the HI Express for a week while my wife was at Mayo Clinic. I had some good and bad points about the experience. The Good: * Connected to Mayo Clinic and buildings via Skyway/Subway system. Never had to get outside in the weather. Very convenient. * Spacious room. * Good cable on TV (about 70 channels). *... more

I stayed at this hotel for only one night with about 15 people for a convention during early March and can honestly say that it's the worst hotel I've ever stayed in that's cost over $60 a night. Immediately upon arrival, the rooms weren't ready, and when some became available, they were smoking rooms, and the front desk staff warned... more
