I own property in the Midwest and I have stayed at the Nichols Inn 1-2 times per year for the last 5 years. They don't offer fancy accommodations, but the rooms are always extremely clean, the staff is very accommodating and friendly, and the location is convenient. I recommend it highly for business travellers in the area.

We choose to stay here as when you walked in the door the place was very clean and staff helpful. I asked about a room with whirlpool, but they did not have one but promptly offered to call another hotel to check availability for us. We checked out another hotel with a pool, but ended up coming back here due... More

Someone mentioned that this hotel is hard to find, it is true. The address is on the highway, but there is no entrance at that address. One can see the hotel from the highway, but then one needs to follow small streets to get there. A minor annoyance. The lobby is very nice, breakfast is comprehensive, my room was large... More

Staff was very friendly and accomodating. We had two rooms our first night, and the bathroom door wouldn't close completely in one of the rooms. Otherwise, rooms were clean and comfortable. Hotel is a bit akward to get to from the main thoroughfare. Parking was not real convenient. We would defintely stay there again as it was clean, newer and... More

What a great place to stay!!We stayed one week-end night for $60 plus tax-the Americinn next door was $94 plus tax.Exceptionally clean, very courteous staff and a fantastic breakfast. We travel a lot on our Goldwing and this motel rates up at the very top for value for the money!!Plan on staying here again yet this summer-that's how nice it is.

Our room was spacious and comfortable. Most importantly, it was very clean. Our king sized bed had plenty of pillows - both the squishy kind and firm ones, too. The bathroom was supplied with brand-name products. Breakfast was from 6-10am. Nice for those who get going very early and those who want to sleep in! A variety of choices including... More

I found the Nichols Inn of Red Wing to be a real treat. The lobby is well kept and attractive; the staff friendly and accessable. My suite, while not overly spacious was very comfortable. The bathroom and kitchenette were immaculate. It can be a trick to find it off highway 61, but it's worth the effort. If you don't need... More

We stayed here for one night. We found the hotel to be clean / quiet / & reasonable. We stayed on the 2nd floor (back side). The FREE breakfast is quick and offers variety. This hotel appears to be very clean, probably due to the fact that it is only several years old. Here's a list of the good and not-so-good: PROS: Slept very well - no noise could be heard from adjoining rooms. We had a room on the first floor right by the back door. The continental breakfast was very good, complete... More

Our stay at the Nichols Inn was very relaxing. The staff was very knowledgable about Red Wing and the area. They treated us extremely well. The rooms were quiet and exceptionally clean.
