Pratt-Taber is an excellent place to stay! Deb was a most gracious and wonderful host. The food was amazing and the house is beautiful. Please do yourself a favor and stay here sometime soon! Be aware, house is fairly accurate - period-wise - so the bathroom in our room ("Autumn") was fairly small, but manageable and did not detract from... more

Owner and hostess Deb makes you feel at home the moment you walk thru the door.We stayed in the autumn room for our 24th anniversary, it was beautiful and cozy. Deb has done a beautiful job of restoring the inn, I loved all of the porches! The breakfast was very good also . Deb is so personable we feel we... more

This is the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in. The room was large and beautifully decorated. We were there during an unexpected cold spell, and the room was warm and cozy. The breakfasts were elaborate and delicious. The owner goes out of her way to be helpful and sociable. The price was very reasonable--go before this relatively... more

What a wonderful house and when you realise just how much restoration work Deb the owner did herself it is just unbelievable. The decor throughout is beautful and is light and airy while keeping it historically interesting with period furniture. There are a number of large porches with comfortable furniture which lend themselves to a cold drink and a good... more

This was a beautiful B&B to stay at. We had a king size bed with down pillows and a big fluffy comforter. The bathroom had recently been refinished and was stocked with thick, luxurious towels. The best part was the delicious breakfast Deb served in the morning; we asked her to sit with us and tell us about the house... more

From the moment we arrived we were treated wonderfully. This B&B was so beautifully decorated to the period, and the breakfast was very tasty. We will definitely be returning to be spoiled again! more

My wife and I biked from Cannon Falls to Red Wing for our anniversary, and we were welcomed at the front door by Deb, who greeted us by name. We never checked in, were immediately offered lemonade, wine, or water, were treated to cherries, and invited to sit in the parlor. "Happy Anniversary" was scrawled on our bedside mirror, our... more

We stayed at the Pratt-Taber Inn over the 4th of July weekend in 2009. Our hostess, Deb, was the absolute best. Everything about our stay was wonderful - there was a plate of fresh brownies and homemade rhubarb pie awaiting us when we arrived. The homemade soaps smelled so lovely, and the room was beautiful and like a step back... more

My 12 year old and I took Amtrak from St. Paul to Red Wing for a get-a-way, no car, no computer weekend. We read and hiked, read and shopped, and read and ate. The town had many quaint and interesting things to see/do, but the highlight of the trip was staying with Deb. She has done meticulous work in restoring... more
