This was our second stay at the Heartland Trail B&B. Mitch and Gloria are amazing hosts. (and Gloria's breakfasts are legendary). We arrived early and spent some sunny time on the back deck while waiting for our friends to join us. We had all registered to ride the Headwaters100 ride the next day. Gloria had coffee ready early for us... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It's been years since we've been able to stay at a B&B. It was so peaceful - like staying at a family member's house. We had the privacy of a hotel with the amenities of a home. I loved that it was an old school. The innkeepers are very nice and the breakfast was... More

This B&B is a renovated schoolhouse. We stayed in the First Grade room, but I stuck my head in the other rooms (Grades 2-6) and all seemed pleasant. Each has its own attached bathroom. The breakfast was really really good. Bacon, eggs, fruit...The best part of this establishment is the location. It is on the Heartland Trail in Dorset, MN.... More

My husband and I could not have asked for a better place to end a very hectic "vacation" week. After visiting with family for several days, it was a joy and a blessing to stay at the Heartland Trail Bed and Breakfast. Our stay was peaceful, the room was comfortable and clean, the food tasty nd filling and the host... More

This was one of the most charming B&B's I've stayed at. The schoolhouse itself is decorated beautifully with a nod to its former life. We stayed in the 2nd Grade room and found it to be very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. The area is peaceful and quiet. The hosts are delightful and friendly and breakfast is incredible!

Enjoyed a quick getaway for our Anniversary. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The location was great - right by the Heartland Bike Trail which is why we pick this location.

What a delight, staying at this B&B that was once a schoolhouse. The bedrooms have the modern conveniences, our room had a gas fireplace, but yet, keeping with the charm knowing it was once a school. The staircase and globelights reminded me of my school and brought back wonderful memories. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, the bathroom extremely... More
