This is the best Econolodge we have stayed in. We were told that it has a new owner, who is local, and it feels like it. It's clean, has good water pressure, comfortable beds and a cooked breakfast - when we were there, we had biscuits with gravy and a fried potato/pepper, sausage combo. The personnel were friendly and helpful. We had a Non-smoking room and it didn't smell like smoke.

We always stay here when we visit family in the area. Over the years it had started to get a little run down. The motel just recently got new (local) owners and we can already see a great difference. They are in the process of an overall updating of rooms and community areas. They just added a hot breakfast which is a first for this facility. The new staff are friendly and welcoming. Before this stay, the last couple of times we were here the staff made guests feel like we were intruding on their time. But the new staff takes time to welcome guests, chat with them and wait on their needs as they might arise.

I travel a LOT and try to use Choice Hotel properties when I can. This is hands down the nicest Econolodge I've seen and beats many of the higher end properties I've stayed in. I used points to stay in a superior room that included a big jetted bath tub in the living room. Everything was perfect. Roomy, clean, more than comfortable. It's clear that the owner takes great pride in his hotel.

Very friendly and flexible owner/operators. The rooms and lobby have recently been renovated and updated. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. The new owners have done a very vice job with this property. I believe they also own a bait/ice fishing business that might be worth checking out :)

Wonderful and welcoming property. Everything was brand new and the bed was extremely comfortable. Large rooms with great space to work. Thank you to the new owners for the care they’ve put into renovating and managing this property. My only disappointment was I didn’t have time to eat ALL of the chocolate covered donuts at breakfast.🥰

Room Tip: The owners also run a bait shop and have facilities for fish cleaning too.

This hotel is under new ownership and has gotten better every time we stay here. We stay here 3 - 4 times a year because it’s the closest to family we visit. The place is clean, beds are comfortable and the hot breakfast is fine. Staff is friendly. Place is easy to get to and I highly recommend it

Under new management and the hotel is in the best condition it has been in years. We spend a couple of weeks there each year while hunting. What a great surprise when we returned this year. New flooring, beds, paint, and new tub/toilet. Room was exceptionally clean, linens were fresh and soft. Excited to have such a nice place to stay in town again.

Probably the cleanest hotel I have stayed at in a while. Nice and quiet and a great price. Just off the highway and at the edge of town. Be advised that on the weekends in the summer the rooms are in high demand so book early.

For the most part, the stay was doable. The room was clean for the most part. The front desk staff was friendly. They have plug in for boats to charge which was nice, but the lot was very small, not much parking for large vehical and trucks with trailers. The lawn was very well taken care of which was nice for my dogs. This is a 2 level motel, but no elevator, so if you have heavy bags, it may be a struggle. Becareful when walking in, the carpet is loose, i almost tripped on it. One thing for the management to consider is, when people have dogs, don't put them on the second floor, its a lot to get a dog that has to go badly all the way down, also, don't put people with dogs next to the stairs. Dogs are protective by nature and bark when people clunk up the stairs. Its was a bit hard to sleep with the bright orange light outside my window, and yes the drape was closed. It went around the edges. The room was very musty smelling. It was hard to get used to. For tv channel's, they had a full lineup, with a guide built in, this was very NICE! The only complaint I had was the TV was on a dresser that is almost the height of the bed, this made for a sore neck trying to see, plus the TV picture was way smaller then the screen size. The website and sign claim to offer a continental breakfast, but its really a bag breakfast. 1 little milk, orange juice, granola bar and a small box of cereal. If your looking for food nearby, all I could find was Casey's convenience store. I know this sounds like a bad review, but its more informational and constructive criticism. The place isn't to bad for a night or 2, i think it's over priced by a little bit with the lack of amenities.
