Of course, there is more to the view at this B&B. Rooms are comfortable, it is very quiet because of the location yet still close to Kailua-Kona attractions and restaurants, very good breakfast with the owners joining us for interesting discussions. Laundry facilities are available for a fee, the building where we stayed has other amenities - coffee in the... More

We had a fabulous stay at Mango Sunset on our visit to Kona! We really liked being out of the hustle and bustle of the busy Kailua-Kona town. It is only a quick 10 minute drive (up a big, busy highway- can't walk or bike safely so must rent a car!) away but nice and cool and quiet being up... More

This was very welcome B&B with a great breakfast prepared for us every morning with great coffee too! The B&B is up on a hill, making it a nice and cool place to stay in the warm Hawaii summer. Would stay there again, great choice!

It’s not often that I take the time to write up a place I have stayed – but in this case the time spent at Mango warranted it deeply. We had an almost two week trip to various parts of Hawaii, including a few days on the ‘Big Island’ at Kona – and we had decided to take a break... More

We spend a week with Hans and Marsha and their daughter Karen and enjoyed our stay very much. We travelled with our 1 year old boy and he was very welcome at the BnB. Together with the other guests we enjoyed the home-grown coffee and the home-made delicious breakfast at the lania overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

We stayed here for two nights and loved this place! The room (we stayed in the Honu room) was nice and clean. From our porch we could see the coffee farm and the ocean - the perfect spot to watch the sunset. The breakfast was served outside with delicious pancakes, waffles and their own coffee - a perfect start into... More

This B&B is FILTHY! We checked in on May 5th, 2013 and left that night for the closest decent hotel. This place is a cross between a Motel 6 and a very run-down youth hostel. The room locks have all been jimmied so that you cannot lock your doors, we had to use a door wedge to make sure nobody... More

We are very seriously alarmed about this shocking post. This is literally about the existence of our small Bed and Breakfast Inn. It is our business that has received from TripAdvisor the "Certificate of Excellence" Award -- for two years in a row. We have also been awarded the TripAdvisor "Platinum Green Leader". Please keep this post above in context... More

The b&b was simple and good value, we had a queen bed room with an en suite bathroom. There is a communal kitchen and living room with tv and pc you can use. There is free wifi but it didn't work in our room during the stay, we only managed to get it when we went up to Hans' house,... More

Hans and Marsha have big personalities and are extremely welcoming and warm. Located at a higher elevation with beautiful sunsets and a cooler temperature after spending a day at the beach was a huge plus aside from the excellent kona coffee from their farm which was a mainstay at breakfast

My wife and I spent three nights in the Mango Sunset B & B and we enjoyed it immensely. Our room, the Honu, was very modern and comfortable with high quality fixtures throughout. WiFi worked great and there is even a guest computer to use if you don't have your own. Hans and Marsha are great hosts and really enjoy... More
