If you are visiting a relative at Carlton College as I was or wanting to see the site of the James brothers great Northfield raid, this is the place to stay. It is not a five star hotel by any means, but it was much more than I expected. The rooms are basic, but with the usual amenities - shampoo,... More

I had a very much needed good night sleep. The hotel was clean and the staff was pleasant. The location was perfect and met my needs. The room had everything I needed for my stay with a coffee pot, iron, blow dryer etc. Everything that one would expect from a quality hotel. The hotel is a good value.

We stayed in a 1 BR suite, which had good space and basic furnishings. One of our heating units did not work -- making it a little spotty with temperatures in the teens. The front desk response was that you have to give them some time to warm up - but that didn't happen over the course of our two-day... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay. Thank you for bringing the heating device to my attention so we could get it fixed right away for you. I understand the trains can be a nuisance but for any future stays if you request a room on the opposite side of the railroad tracks... More

We stayed at this motel again in November giving it a second try after a bad experience. The manager was quick to respond to my comments on our first stay and provided a certificate for one night stay to come back and try again. We came back and were very pleased. The staff were very responsive and helpful. The room... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay. I'm very pleased to hear that your second stay with us was enjoyable. I wish there was something more we could do about the train noise because I know how frustrating it can be at times. I look forward to your stays with us again in... More

The single biggest problem are the trains. They sound whistles at local crossings regardless of the hour, so we were awakened at 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM. Since our room was only about a hundred feet from the tracks, there's no way to say it except that it's loud. Hotel is reasonably nice, albeit basic. Breakfast was fine. The hallway... More

As a ambulatory quad, I found this place operating very much on the spare side. The room designated was in the center of the building, so it was roughly equidistant to the front & back entrances with the back entrance slightly closer, but having 2 steps, so not wheelchair accessible. Although, it is doable with a walker in spite of... More

I am truly disgusted at your blatant support of fox news. You should provide a service to all of your guests regardless of YOUR political views! Instead of worrying about your politics you need to make sure the jacuzzi in my room is in working order!

I stayed at the Country Inn as part of a conference, and the problems started before I even got there. The location is mis-coded in Google Maps, so I was driving around in the wrong area for 20 minutes before calling for directions. The woman at the front desk was nice, and she said that they knew about the map... More

Our bathroom in our room had several different hairs in it that were not ours (floor and sink). I knew the hotel was more full (although not completely) so I just cleaned it up and didn't request a room change. The carpet floor in the room wasn't the cleanest either finding a sunflower seed and some other crumbs. The pools... More
