Loved that the resort sits right on the lake shore! Easy access to swimming for the kiddos, and the sunsets by the bonfire are just perfect. We caught fish right off the dock and in the boat. Very nice place.

We recently returned from a 4-night stay at Good Ol' Days. My husband and I had never been up to the Brainerd/Nisswa area so we were excited to spend Thanksgiving "up north" with our two young children (ages 2 and 4). Upon check-in, we were greeted by a nice young girl who directed us to our cottage. The cottage is... More

There are some things I’d like you to be aware of before you go, but I do want to say up front that I’d recommend this as a fun and comfortable family resort. Two of us just finished a delightful 3-night Thanksgiving stay at “Good Ol’ Days Family Resort.” We were particularly attracted to the offer of providing the makings... More

For the second year, we took our Youth Group up to Good Ol' Days, and we loved it. The cabins are so nice with everything we needed. We go in late fall (also know as early winter in MN) so the fireplace is much appreciated in the living room area. One of things we like most is that the staff... More

This is really a nice little place-we stayed in one of the lodge rooms. I thought it was really nice and clean. Very short walk out to the lake and playground. Breakfast was free-so expect a lot of vultures-to be expected when something is free! It was small but sufficient. You can roast marshmallows but make sure you bring them!... More

We went to a large family reunion (65 people) at Good Ole Days Family Resort. We booked most all the cabins and had an excellent time. It was great to have continental breakfast served by the resort. We could walk from the resort to the nearby community center for our group dinner events at night. One night we had a... More

Excellent place, beautiful, quiet, clean, . Its wonderful people who care for you, Bob and Cindy friendly. Beautiful place to visit and relax. We were very happy of our stay. A breakfast served with details and care. We are a family of three, and traveled from Guatemala. It has been a souvenir and return there someday. Donis Family.

My 5 girlfriends and I rented a cottage at Good Ol' Days last weekend in Nisswa, MN. It was wonderful! The cottages were recently all redone, so they were GORGEOUS. We stayed in a two bedroom, and there were comfy beds, leather couches, a cozy fireplace, a plasma screen TV, stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, vaulted ceilings, and just... More

We took our family vacation this summer to this "family resort", however, we were surprised to learn that you had to pay more to bring your children. We didn't see when we booked under the rates, that children cost more per day, per child, our fault for not seeing that, but when we saw the rate, we assumed at a... More

This was our first stay at Good Ol' Days family resort, just 6 blocks outside of Nisswa on the Paul Bunyan Trail. Our goal was to find a small resort in northern Minnesota which would be especially geared to young children-We didn't need all the "bells and whistles" of the larger places in the area. Good Ol' Days was the... More
