This Holiday Inn is clearly an older property but it is in pretty good condition and is kept nice and clean. Bed was comfortable, internet access spotty. Very reasonable rate! This is an outdated, dark and unpleasant hotel. I am not sure how long it has been there but I had a miserable week there. The walls are paper thin, there are no elevators and the rooms are dark and outdated. The price was not comparitive to the surroundings. more

Yes, it probably IS the best hotel in New Ulm, but there are only a few others to compare it to. The lobby area is very welcoming, and has an overhang outside to unload your vehicle under. I had planned to stay in Mankato until I found this little gem in New Ulm. I've stayed in other hotel/motel properties in the New Ulm area and this will be the only place I stay from now on (I'm not including any Bed and Breakfast locations, of which there are many, since they exceed my price range.) New Ulm is a small town so there is not a lot of choices for hotels. You mostly find small motels or B&Bs here. The largest hotel in the city is the Holiday Inn.
