We came to town for Oktoberfest. Glad we could find a room to stay on short notice. Our stay was just ok. The whole hotel is in a need of remodel. Very outdated and worn. Room was cleaner then I expected from reading previous reviews. No odor either. Bed was fine for me but husband with back problem didn't like... More

On our recent overnight, we found the room to be clean and no odors. The room was quiet with a comfortable bed. The room was somewhat outdated (ex-the chair in the room was ripped & the tub needed re-caulking). The staff were friendly and helpful. The shower head was located HIGH which is a great benefit for tall people. The... More

There is no elevator and every room is either up or down steps from the lobby. There is a ramp down the few steps to the first floor rooms. The second level is up one flight and the third floor is up 3 flights. Rooms are basic, clean and feel safe. Decor is outdated and cheap to start with. Beds... More

Although we've been very happy at the Microtel next door in the past, it was sold out so we tried the Econo Lodge. A small step down, but definitely clean and well-priced. We'd certainly stay here again.

I was a little wary of booking here after reading the reviews, but overall, I was quite happy with Econolodge, New Ulm! The room was acceptably clean and everything worked...plumbing, Wi-fi, etc. I really appreciate that they are very good about accepting well behaved pets and the reasonable pet charge. Everything was quiet and peaceful, thanks to other respectful pet... More

We were in new Ulm for one night, so was looking for some place that was reasonable price to stay. It's in same parking lot as pizza ranch, so just few steps away was food. For Econolodge the place was nice, breakfast was good. Room had microwave and fridge, also the flat screen tv was good. Wifi was fast. We... More

My mother sister and I stayed here for a girls vet away. At first it was fine average hotel. Beds seem smaller but very high off the ground. The part that grossed us out is the next morning I woke up and had a BED BUG crawling on my back!!! Threw the sheets back to look at the bed and... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night. We wanted to stay at the Holiday or Microtel, but both were booked solid. This Econo Lodge had formerly been a Super 8. The hotel was not fully booked, yet we were put on the lower floor at the back of the hotel, and the rooms around us were... More

Great place for the price. Young man behind the counter was very courteous, hardworking and accommodating. Rooms were clean, double beds should have been queens, not full size. continental breakfast was good. Coffee available 24x7. Had a pleasant stay. Very relaxing.

Young man at the counter was helpful with recommendations for a dining spot featuring local brews. Non-smoking rooms adjacent to smoking rooms, halls smelled smokey. Nice beds, furniture, towels, fairly new bedspreads. Bathroom floor was not clean and there were some age-related flaws in the drywall, trim, etc. But for the price ($62.99 for two doubles), it was just fine.... More
