The entire 3rd floor smelled like smoke. The shower faucet was a struggle every time I tried to use it. I'll be spending time in New Ulm again due to my daughter going to college there but I will more than likely look for another hotel to stay in.

So many things to say, not at all positive. 1. We booked at a group rate and it was not honored to our 15 parents, and they were not allowed to use other discounts because of the book rate, yet this was not given. 2. The party room was reserved and I was told until midnight. They kicked our group... More

During the evening, the water was warm. Not warm enough to take a bath in. The lever to turn on the shower from the tub faucet was pulled up so hard that it could not be moved. Thus no bath could be taken in the evening anyway. There was hot water in the AM. Took a shower since that was... More

My stay was fine but the pool was disgusting and when I asked the front desk she said just not to go in it because she doesn't know how to add more chlorine.

Speaking from the view point of a 4-yr old grandson: I really liked the room...window seat/bed....great pool and spa. From a grandpa's view point: We experienced a large number of older kids playing roughly in the pool area..prohibiting our grandson from enjoying himself without being subject to injury by the rough-housing.

The hotel is bright and welcoming. The rooms are smaller and the TV could be in a better location as it is hard to see from the desk. The breakfast is quite limited in choices but for the price one cannot complain to much.

There are basically 2 choices of Hotels in New Ulm, MN when attending a festivity at the event center. Microtel generally has better rates and is in closer proximity than the Holiday Inn. Like many people in their late 20's, I needed to book a room about eleven days before an event (just in time for both hotels to have... More

This was a decent place to stay for the price. The room is pretty tiny - "micro" says it all. The breakfast was a carb-fest but I guess something. There was a Applebee's across parking lot so that might appeal to some. front desk lady was nice. You key card has a 10% off at the Sportsman Bar and Grill... More

Decent accommodations. Nothing over the top. Breakfast is rather boring, especially when staying several nights. Much better than last stay. New management seems to be working.
