Do not believe the website for this property. This place is terrible. They should not even be allowed to operate. Web pictures showed "newly rennovated rooms". LIES. The place should be torn down. The 1st room I was put in was straight out of the 50's and probably hadn't been touched since then. The 2nd room was the picture on... More

This was the worst hotel I ever seen. First room was hair all over sheets.Second room was stains all over sheets, got pics for face book . Third room was hair. Nasty hotel pool area looked like a pit. Checked out and Went to hotel next door and that was very clean. Wasted one hour of my time atvthat dive.... More

I regret not looking at reviews before booking. My heat won't go up past 66 degrees, and I am freezing. Staff did bring me an extra blanket that is very nice. My bed linens are worn out- super thin and one bed's sheets were stained. So glad I had another to choose from. I had wanted to swim but couldn't... More

Please stay away if at all possible. Where to start? Building does nite meet any building codes or standards even from 40 years ago. Unsprinkled, restrooms don't meet HC code and they allow smoking in the building which is against Minnesota clean air act statute. The single pane windows don't seal and the wind blowing in moves the 70's style... More

The Best Northland Praire Inn could be a reasonable small town stopover. Unfortunately, it is far from average as it sits. Rooms are tired, very tired. Paint, carpet, beds, TV's, AC's all need to be replace and brought into this century. Ownership needs to start some type of renovation plan rather than pocketing any profits. Staff does the best they... More

Unfortunately for guests, this hotel does not approach even minimum standards for the industry. The rooms are sorely in need of a makeover, which does not seem to be in the cards. We asked for a replacement room and ended up going back to our original room because of the odor. The staff are helpful, but they don't have much... More

Upon entering the room, we flipped the switch next to the door and nothing happened at all. So we did what any normal couple would do and flipped it five or six more times. ...nothing. Though it was actually day time, we fummbled arround in the dark in a room we were unfamiliar with, because the staff had the curtian... More

It is obvious that this hotel has not had any updating done in the last 15/20 years. TV was old, carpet looked nasty and we had cigarette burns in the sheets. Room smelled, not like smoke but like mold. They have started some updating because friends staying there had better looking rooms than we did. I get that it is... More

The pictures online don't reflect the actual facility. Unfortunately I did NOT read any reviews before making our reservation. If I had done so, there's no way I would have set foot in the joint. And the wifi didn't work at all. I called the front desk to complain & they basically said "TOUGH!" Shd have stayed at the Super... More

Upon arrival we had to wait for the man (wearing a grubby t-shirt) to finish his conversation with his young family member to check-in. He told us to go in the back entrance to get to our room. The whole back entrance is filled with construction workers that all hang out outside. There was a sign on the backdoor that... More
