Stayed here for business because I'm very loyal to the Starwood Hotel Group - which are consistently wonderful however The Ivy still surpassed my expectations. The rooms are luxurious (I had a standard King) with scrumptious furnishings a beautiful bath and comfortable working desk. I can see how it would appeal to business and pleasure travelers. A wonderful feature -... more

We had an amazing weekend, and it all started off with our hotel! I had arranged with the concierge for champagne and roses to be arranged prior to our arrival and he did not disappoint! The bed was HUGE, the view GREAT, the bathroom AMAZING, and if/when I go back, there is no question as to where we will be... more

In some respects, the Ivy was very nice. The quality of the furnishings was clearly superior, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was particularly beautiful, with unusually nice toiletries. The gym was great, with lots of brand new machines, a large space (for a hotel gym at least), a large steam room and sauna, and few other people... more

Very, very nice place. Nice and modern with luxury in the air, but not over the top. Extremely nice desk staff. Gorgeous room... I love how they lay the room out with the armoire facing in to a nearby wall, as if to create a little foyer/hall in your room. The TV is mounted on the back-side of the armoire,... more

I wanted to love this place and was excited to go there but was so disappointed. The customer service I received from the hotel and spa people were beyond terrible. I can believe how rudely we were treated there by the staff. The room was nice, but the spa was terrible and dirty. Avoid at all costs. I have never... more

I have stayed at the Hilton and the Marriott on previous trips to Minneapolis and I had spied The Ivy connected to the skybridges..but more like a boutique hotel. My huband was here for a convention and I LOVED The Ivy. The room was very nice, we had a superior king. Soaking tub with seperate showers. The spa amenities in... more

I spent one week at the hotel and found the room, including the exceptionally nice bathroom, exactly what I'd expect at this price point. The gym also was excellent. Now, to the staff: the check-in counter staff were business-like, curt: not unfriendly but certainly not exactly a happy greeting unlike most similar quality hotels. A pre-dinner drink in the bar,... more

I stayed at the Hotel Ivy last week and found the hotel to be very comfortable, the room was clean and the service was excellent. I was delighted to find that the room service I ordered for breakfast arrived quickly, was delicious and very reasonable. The hotel was an excellent value. The only problem was the construction going on right... more

The Ivy is a first-rate hotel in downtown Minneapolis, right on the Habitrail tube system and steps to the Convention Center. It is essentially a W for grown-ups: understated, classy, and carefully thought out. The rooms are well laid out (armoires, desks, bar) and the bathroom and soaker tub was delightful. As other readers have pointed out, the toiletries alone... more

This is a lovely hotel, but service was HORRIBLE during their tea service. Tea is served from 3-5 p.m. in the lobby and I showed up at 3:00. I FINALLY got my tea at 4:00ish and waited another twenty minutes for sandwiches. (I had to keep reminding the server who was too self important to notice me(he wasn't too busy;... more
