The location of the hotel is great, just steps from the nicollet mall with plenty of shops and dining. The staff was very helpful in explaining how to use the skyway system connecting the hotel to many other buildings downtown. Noticed they claimed someone else confused this property with the Depot nearby. I have stayed at both and do know the difference. The Depot is modern, clean, immaculate, granite countertops and helpful caring staff. The residence inn room I had was "dated", broken laminate countertops. This is probably the most comfortable, and most spacious hotel room I have stayed in. It makes me want to stay in Residence Inn's wherever I travel! Large s-o-o-o comfortable king bed, across the room there is a couch, arm chair and coffee table. The tv is situated between the two areas on a dresser and swivels back and forth.... more
