We're Gold Passport members. We stay at Hyatts often. 3 different Hyatt brands on this trip alone. Andaz was spectacular with beautiful modern rooms and fabulous service. Hyatt Town Houses were gracious, comfortable, well laid out with lots of amenities. Hyatt Regency Minneapolis unfortunately was tired, tattered, dirty and, in our opinion, should be closed for a year and upgraded... more

This hotel will be getting a big renovation soon. It's to keep up with the other four star hotels in downtown Minneapolis. While there are certainly some things that are a little dated, this hotel almost doesn't need the work. It's a really nice hotel. The lobby area is still very nice and looks highly refined. The rooms are still... more

I am a frequent traveler and love a good hotel experience, but seldom write reviews. I also get nervous when things aren't simple or safe. The Hyatt had some mixed reviews so I wasn't sure what to expect. First of all, definitely take the light rail from the airport to the hotel. It takes about 20 minutes and costs $1.75.... more

I found a discounted rate for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. I recommend the breakfast package rate. The front desk staff was friendly and knowledgable. The concierge gave great recommendations of activities in the area. The breakfast buffet was exceptional and the service was great in the restaurants. There is a sports bar as well that had a good... more

I had no expectations when I came to this hotel. It was just the place I was going for a literary conference. So I was really impressed by the lobby when I walked in, which is lovely art deco work. Things rapidly went downhill from there. After travelling all day, there was some confusion about the rooms, so we stood... more

My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency while my daughter attended a convention there, and we had a wonderful time. The staff was fantastic, the service was outstanding, our room was great, the food at the hotel restaurants was delicious, and the hotel's handling of the convention itself was extremely well-done. The valets and bellmen were terrific...very professional.... more

My husband and I chose to stay at the Hyatt Regency Minnapolis to celebrate our 2009 Valentine's day "in style". We arrived just after 4:00 to check-in. There was a long, slow moving line, so instead of waiting we opted to use the "self check-in". The check in process was fairly easy and quick (we were done before the 2... more

Typical downtown high-rise hotel. Smaller-sized rooms but exceptionally comfortable bedding. Bar/Lounge, restaurant, and snack bar on premise. Close to downtown restaurants and shopping. more

We do not recommend this hotel. We reserved 2 non-smoking rooms with king beds for 3 nights. Apparently, the Hyatt only had smoking rooms with double beds available. The rooms were full of smoke and the hallways were worse! The staff at the Hyatt were not helpful. more

Our stay at the Hyatt was frustrating and disappointing, to say the least. First, the website states that the hotel shuttle makes trips to the airport every half hour. However, we waited for over an hour in the shuttle section of the airport before being informed that you have to check in at the "Supershuttle" desk prior to taking the... more
