2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2011

I reserved an oversized corner room for $208 for the July 4th weekend. This hotel, wonderfully located in walking distance of the Twins stadium and numerous other activities, is in a beautifully renovated 1940s bank building. We arrived at the 3 p.m. check-in time, and needed the room right away. It wasn't ready. After considerable stammering and stalling by Jill,... More

Stayed her for a work meeting and training and the food was the best I have had at a conference, and Eric and Brian were the best! The service was great, the food was great and they went above and beyond to make things pleasant. Way way better food than the most conference food! The entire hotel was beautiful and... More

Three of my friends and I decided to spend a day in Minneapolis and one night in a hotel downtown for a treat. It was much cheaper than flying somewhere, and with 6 kids between us, it was also a lot more practical. We arrived early and our rooms were not ready. But instead of being told to come back... It's hard to imagine what the hotel actually looks like based on pics. The bar/restaraunt is the central hub of this place...SOOO much fun! It was so much like coming home (in a weird way). George makes THE best Manhattan! I thought it was weird at check in because the "check in" is in the far right corner of that... More

Second time staying here. First time upgraded to amazing suite with nice view. Not fair to expect again, but this time room is fine, but view is of office building 10 feet away. Promised free wireless upon check-in, but no wireless shows up in room. No remote for TV to be found anywhere. I know this hotel is better than... More

This is THE place to stay in Minneapolis. Great rooms. Great lobby and lobby bar. Excellent Popcorn Shrimp. A wonderful blend of the old (former bank building) and new (Westin quality). Great place right in the center of town.

This is a very nice property a block from the Nicollette Mall and all the sights and sounds. We enjoyed many things about our stay, but will never return by car. There is no off-street access to the hotel, and since we were only there for one night, it threatened to ruin our stay. For those who are interested, I've... More

The furniture in room was soiled and views are poor. Staff seemed elusive in trying to get assistance on basic services during the stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Westin Minneapolis downtown for a friend's wedding back in mid-May, and even though I am typically always impressed by Westin properties, this one was extra-special. Here's why: our room was available very early in the day (around 11 am), and the room we obtained as Starwood Preferred Guests was a gorgeous corner room... More

We absolutely loved our stay at the Westin. The accomodations were incredibly comfortable. Additionally, the service was outstanding and the hotel was gorgeous. It also helped that the Westin is very centrally located downtown, where all things of interest were well within walking distance. When we're in Minneapolis going forward, I imagine we will invariably stay at the Westin.
