Not 5-star but a great business hotel with nice amenities. Gorgeous former bank lobby serves as restaurant and reception area. Rooms are elegant but understated. Service is excellent, except in restaurant at breakfast where staffing is a tad thin. Best to choose the buffet if you're in a rush.

I have nothing but great things to say about my 1 night stay at the Westin in Minneapolis. It's a beautiful space, a former bank, and the rooms are nicely appointed and quiet. My group was hungry, and while the lobby restaurant, BANK, was fairly crowded at lunch, the staff opened up a private room for our table of 5.... More

After taking in a Vikings game, we elected to stay in Mpls for the night and catch the light rail to the airport Monday am. It was especially important to us that the hotel be close to the light rail ad the Westin delivered. We easily traveled the one block with our rolling baggage to the front door, where the... More

The hotel is very upscale. The lobby, bar, pool, and other common areas are pretty impressive. As a former bank, the place has plenty of history and charm. The valet parking is VERY expensive. Park across the street for much less, and access the hotel through a skyway. The room was very nice - perfectly clean and well appointed. However,... More

I returned back to this hotel after my stay here earlier this year. True to my last experience, these guys didn't let me down. As always, the staff was super courteous, extremely helpful, polite, and very accommodating to my requests. Seeing I was terribly tired after a flight pretty much across the country, they offered me complimentary Breakfast, and a... More

We stayed here during the weekend of the Garth Brooks concert and Minnesota-Iowa football game so it was quite busy. The streets are one-way around the hotel so directions can be strange and you may have to double park to drop off/pick up guests and their luggage or to even check in. Since we arrived after 4PM on a Friday,... More

I'm always looking for accommodations with an historic component, and the Westin fulfills that quest with its original 1941 bank facade and impressive lobby. Its central downtown puts it close to almost every entertainment venue, and its a short walk to the metro line. It was difficult to locate, however, because there is no sign perpendicular to the street; in... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel over the Halloween weekend. We were looking for a nice romantic getaway and we had a phenomenal stay at the Westin Minneapolis. We have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and as usual, we have yet to be disappointed. The service was outstanding !! I called to make the reservation and... More

I was very impressed with the Westin Minneapolis. Beautifully historic lobby well represents the original bank. The downtown location cannot be beat. No executive lounge, so I cannot give an 'Excellent' score. Checkin staff had me choose between breakfast, welcome drink or points... as SPG platinum, this is unacceptable.

we stayed here on a Friday night downtown Minneapolis before going to a concert at the target Center. When we checked and I found out I was considered a preferred customer that day.....I had no idea what that meant but we received complementary large bottle of water and a selection of nuts and M&Ms in a room with a personalized...
