Stayed for one night to attend an event at the Target Center. The location was great. We found a wonderful Indian restaurant a couple blocks down, Bombay Grill. Easy walk to the Target Center. We parked at the 517 Marquette parking garage, as suggested by other reviewers. Parked at 3:00 on a Sunday, left around 10:00 on Monday and it... More

Beautiful hotel, great service from check-in to maid service to room service. Only downfall would be the bedroom doors are very large and close VERY loudly. We parked directly across the street from hotel instead of using the Westin's valet. It was clean, secure, and so much less expensive. It says $6 a day, but a day is 12am (midnight)-12pm(noon).... I cannot speak to the inside of this hotel, it is probably lovely as it is a Westin and is in a lovely historic building. However, I walk by the front of this establishment several times a week and have to share that there are often 5-7 smokers outside smoking so you have to try not to breath as you... More

Dear PinchOnTheGo, Thank for the feedback regarding your experiences walking past our hotel. We agree with you that the smokers outside create an environment that none of us are pleased with. We are working with our neighboring building to manage this situation as it is their tennants who you witnessed smoking outside, 30 feet from our main entrance. We hope... More

What an amazing hotel. From the moment we arrived we were treated to great customer service and genuine hospitality. We will definitely make this one of our top hotels in Minneapolis. The only complaint I have is the valet parking rate online was listed lower than the actual price that we paid (about $10) per day. That wasn't a deal... More

Dear Coolerthanlegos, Thank you very much for staying with us and for the excellent review. We are so glad that you enjoyed your experience and liked our hotel and some features like our Gear Lending program. Thank you too for the feedback on the valet parking rate. We recently changed our pricing and thought we had changed all of the... More

My sister and I were in Minneapolis on business and to attend a Gala. We moved to the Westin downtown from a hotel close to the mall. Although we only stayed two days, we felt like we made a new home. Par for the course for us is to experience some degree of headaches accompanied by kicking and screaming, when... More

We stayed here over st. Patrick's day weekend. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was great. The room was large and updated. It was very central to many restaurants and other activities. Definitely recommend it if you are staying in Minneapolis.

My husband and I went for his birthday weekend and I have to say that we pretty happy with the service. One of the staff (Charles Bushard) brought us a really good bottle of wine in our room as a surprise birthday present, which was really nice.

I checked into this hotel over a long weekend to explore downtown Minneapolis. The first room I checked-in was filled with a lingering stench of cigarette smoke. I immediately called guest services to request for a room-change which they did in 10 minutes. The second room I was given felt fresher but little did I know it was located right... More

Dear Travellingsalesgirl, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We are pleased that you found our location appealing and enjoyed our large, clean rooms. I had a business meeting a few buildings from the Westin so it was convenient. It was cold so having skyway connections from the hotel was fantastic. The Starwood Preferred floor/room was disappointing because the view was of the radiation system and an adjoining building. My first room reeked of smoke and immediately provoked my asthma but the staff did... More

Thank you for choosing to stay at The Westin Minneapolis. We appreciate your positive comments regarding our pleasant desk staff, location and our breakfast buffet. Of course, your observation regarding our slow service in the restaurant is alarming and unacceptable. Booked this for an overnight stay; found a great rate including valet parking ($35 overnight), $50 dining credit and including buffet breakfast. Enormous bathroom with enough space to fit a bathtub at... More
