Just got back from a week stay in Minneapolis. I booked in advance so I got a good deal. The hotel has a great location, walking distance to many restaurants, as well as the Guthrie Theater and the banks of the Mississippi River. The hotel rooms could use a little updating, the bed was not very comfortable, and there was... More

I loved the room. We got the 2 bed 2 bath room. They have a cozy little kitchen and the kindest staff. There is a pool, a hot tub, and an exercise room. I adored the pool and hot tub, although the exercise room only has 3 treadmills and a bike

We stayed here for about two weeks and liked it very much. It was almost like home: convenient comfortable apartment, nice quiet area (except for weekends), close to everything, unusually good breakfast and good light dinner (with wine) at night (sometimes), friendly people at reception.

Location was in a good area of town and easy walking distance to many shops and dining places. However, the hotel is old in decor, the rooms have a strange odor and the staff are not very informative- you kind of have to figure it out on your own. The most disappointing part of the entire stay was the water... More

I stayed here for 2 nights in June 2014 and I really enjoyed my visit. Hotel is very clean and offers a great breakfast everyday. They also offer an evening meal a few nights a week, but I didn't try it. I really like where this hotel is located, just a few blocks from downtown, but also close to a... More

We stayed for a long weekend. We were excited that they decided to open the indoor water park/pool a day early so we could swim Thursday too. The location is great - a few blocks to the light rail and just a couple blocks from the Mill Museum and Guthrie theater. We liked the suite setup even though the bedroom... More

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance Depot, but we probably would try another hotel next time. It's one of the older incarnations of the Residence Inn, and the decor in our room was tired and in need of updating. We had a one bedroom suite, and the bedroom was smaller than other Residence Inns we've stayed in, particularly... More

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. I do understand the condition of our hotel does need some updating. We are in the process of planning a renovation in the next year. I truly apologize for any inconvenience the elevator caused during your stay. I hope you will reconsider staying at our hotel if your travels bring... More

I'm a theatrical tour manager. As such, I am in charge of hotel bookings for my tours. When I have a group going to Minneapolis, and I always do, I would only stay at The Residence Inn Depot. The property is very well kept, very well managed and the staff is second to none in customer service and professionalism. When... More

A friend and I spent the weekend in Minneapolis seeing plays at the Guthrie. We parked the car and walked the four blocks to the theater and and another two to a restaurant. The hotel was very convenient. The breakfast was great with lots of variety. However, I would have liked a room with two beds. I slept on the... More

Loved our stay at the Residence Inn in mid-January 2014. We were in town for the outdoor hockey games at TCF Stadium. The hotel was handy to all the places we were coming and going to - campus, shopping, restaurants. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The waterpark hours could have been better but we weren't at the hotel much... More
