We have stayed here many times before and enjoyed the hotel and the restaurant. This time we were quite disappointed, and we are unlikely to return. We got their best room....a premiere corner room with a King bed. The room was clean and the maid did about the best job I have ever seen cleaning our room while we occupied... More

I was excited to stay there when I came to town for my Class Reunion. When I arrived there was no help for my luggage only the front desk girl. We went to my room and to my surprise there sure were no ammonites Oh wait a few were in the closet. The room had no refrigerator! They could have... More

Charming hotel and we ate here thirty years ago and it was wonderful! The hotel was booked. Came back as we were on a Roots Trip" again and made sure we had lunch here. Once again, their French Onion Soup and Quiche are the best! Views are very pretty, service was very attentive, and their food all delicious!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at this venue in September 2014. I cannot say enough about the Event Director (Sarah G) and all the staff (from the receptionist, servers, bartender, etc.) at the Nicollet Island Inn. Our event was for just under 65 people and every detail exceeded our expectations. Food, service, and the setting were all exception.... More

This is a quality hotel with old-world charm. Our king-size room was spacious, and clean. What was best about the hotel is the location on Nicollet Island. It's an easy walk to visit a wonderful array of restaurants on Main, or up E. Hennepin Avenue. The legendary Nye's Polonaise Room is but a short stroll away, for a trip back... More

We were looking for unique hotel in Minneapolis for a short stay. The Nicollett Island Inn is located on an island in the Mississippi River right across from downtown Minneapolis. It is a popular park area used by everyone for walking, running, and skating. Quick walk to St. Anthony Main, a restored area of buildings dating from the founding of... More

As soon as you enter from the door you travel in time. Everything in the hotel is carefully chosen to fit the old times theme. Even the guest rooms have metal keys. Very friendly staff and a nice, small restaurant. And location, one of the best you can have in Minneapolis.

My wife and I were here for a "stay-cation" to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The inn is in a perfect location to get away from downtown noise but walking distance to a hipster neighborhood with good bars and entertainment, or walk around the adjacent park trails. On the whole, suited for our purpose with some minor complaints. On arrival, the... More

My husband and I stayed here just this past weekend. It's a hotel with real personality and charm. The staff was extremely helpful any time I called or went to the desk. One example: I needed an early check-in so called in advance to see whether that would be possible. The desk clerk put me on hold while she personally... More

My wife and I visited the Nicollet Island Inn recently for an anniversery getaway. The Inn is located on Nicollet Island, in the middle of downtown Minneapolis. It is very easy to access, just off Hennepin Ave. and there was plenty of parking. The building is a very charming former factory with ivy growing up the side. The entire premesis... More
