Lobby is quite dark, as are a number of the rooms. However, the rooms are appointed well, are comfortable, and the hotel is very centrally located to get to a large part of downtown. The staff has always been quite nice to me. The upstairs bar (Prohibition) is a nice area to sit around and have a drink (very nice... More

Great, friendly, helpful staff. Comfy beds. Great products. The only disappointing thing was the slamming doors. This has more to do with the people closing them but are they extra heavy? Because they seemed to really slam and be super loud. Good location.

Could not have been happier with our stay. Yes, the lobby is dark...it is part of the ambiance. I didn't really feel like it was an issue. The service at check-in was fantastic....helpful and courteous. We did not use the valet parking, we parked in ramps nearby (fyi the McGladry plaza parking across the street is $5 flat rate on... We stayed at the "W" Foshay one evening. We were going to a concert and thought we would stay close to the venue. Our room was immaculate, the staff were professional and friendly. Even though it was a weekend there is a nightclub atmosphere, there were no noise issues. The bed was comfortable and we loved the bathroom with the... More

I'm just not a fan. Lobby so dark you can hardly see. You need your room key in elevator and cards demagnetized every other day. Valet is very slow as is housekeeping (one day room wasn't done by 4 and I had to call). Fitness center is very good and well equipped. No sundry store here and their recommendation is... More

The W in Minneapolis does not disappoint. Convenient location, very good service, and amenities. This was once again a business trip and the meeting rooms and the accompanying meals provided by the hotel were excellent. The design of the hotel is modern yet it is in a very historic building in Minneapolis.

Saturday nite stay. Beautiful lobby. We stayed in a corner room which was very quiet and comfortable. Very modern. There was a government function going on this day which caused quite a mess in the lobby and at the elevator. I realize the is an older hotel with quite the history but "yikes" what a time I had just trying... More

stayed several times at the W The Foshay. Location is excellent, downtown Minneapolis. Room is ok and spacious -functional although the view is not spectacular. Service at reception is very good. However, I do not like the decoration, ie lightning in the hotel. Too dark, unacttractive light colours. To conclude - functional business hotel but not my cup of tea.

The W @ The Foshay is an upscale chic property with a superlative staff. The lobby is nice, but very dark...most of the hallways are also dark making me wonder what they are trying to hide. The corner room was average to small in size, but nicely appointed with all the unique stuff the W is known for including lots... More

My first time staying at a W property. It was a very modern hotel with a great history behind it. The service was excellent and the amenities were fabulous. I'd recommend and stay at this property again when in the area! One thing that did surprise me, is that the lobby bar turns into a nightclub on the weekend late... More
