The hotel is considered to be one of the nicer hotels available in the Mankato, Minnesota area. It is located a considerable distance from central and Old Town Mankato, but Old Town Mankato is rundown anyway. I appreciate automatic doors from the parking lot into the lobby, and this hotel has that, along with being attractive and well kept. We visit family annually and stay at the Country Inn and Suites. It is by no means the cheapest stay in Mankato, but if you like a clean hotel, a hospitable staff and a good breakfast, this is the place for you. I stayed here for two nights to attend a conference. Very friendly staff. The room was spotless and very large. Nice big free continental breakfast area with toaster, milk, juice, fruit etc. Good location within walking distance of restaurants, convenience stores and a shopping center. Great conference facilities. A Minnesota nice place. more
