Hotel was booked by our company travel agency (CorpTravel). When we arrived, there were no cars in the lot. Was able to enter the lobby, and the fireplace was going. No one was at the desk. There was an in-house phone that we used to try to contact someone, but we could hear it ringing behind a door near the... More

And that's exactly why I had to stay there. The freeways were gated prohibiting entry due to blizzard conditions. Everyone was looking for a place to stay and at least I had a roof over my head. The lobby is inviting enough but that's were the pleasantries end. The room was dated, had old, old bedding and towels, and the... More

I'm here for business. I call a hotel room home about 250 nights a year. This is by far the worst management I have witnessed yet. My first room was never cleaned, bedding and pillow cases still had hair all over it. To top it off, the room was about 50 degrees when I got in it. Great first impression... More

Internet service did not work in room. This is a nice motel with good beds and ammenties. The breakfast is typical. What I find very unprofessional is that the manager parks her vehicle under the carport when she works. Hello? The carport is for customers to pull up and unload their luggage and passengers who may have difficulty walking distances.... More

If your just looking for a quick afordable place to sleep, than this is the place for you. Wireless internet does not work in the room. Breakfast was limited, but it was complimentary. It would have been nice to at least have gotten those cheap eggs from the carton. My kids however did enjoy the waffles. The bed was hard,... More

My husband and I go pheasant hunting every opening season and this year decided to explore the Madelia area. I called the Madelia Hotel to make a reservation and asked if they accepted dogs. I was told the dog was welcome but we may have to pay an extra fee (which was expected). We packed up drove the two hours... More

we enjoyed our short stop over at the madelia....a quiet room, friendly staff and a nice variety for breakfast in the lobby. It is easily accessible from the highway and even though we arrived late and left early in the morning the staff was available and friendly.

My husband, kids, and I have stayed here several times, both as an AmericInn and as Madelia Hotel and Suites. We have stayed in a jacuzzi room, a suite, king singles, queen doubles. Every room has always been clean. Some rooms were previously smoking rooms and the smell still lingers, but it is bearable and diminishing. It is easy to... More

Walked in and felt like I was at the AmericInn I stayed in Stuart, IA. Knew it was going to work out for a few days while working in the area. Room was clean, AC and Heat worked, bed and pillows were comfortable. Pool was open, but I did not use it. I really liked being able use the Anytime... More
