I really enjoy the Cascade Lodge for the history and the old cabins. The location is key for me in the woods near Cascade River S.P. Even hiking around the Cascade Creek is great fun. The trails and bridges would bring joy to any young child. What a adventure! Staying in a cabin with a fire near the creek is... More

Cascade Lodge & cabins is an ideal place to stay in the midst of it all on the north shore of Lake Superior. You'll find several nicely priced vintage log cabin rentals to choose from as well as newly constructed cabins. Lodge rooms are also available in the Main lodge which has a large living area with games & computer... More

We stayed here on a last minute trip to the North Shore, we were in 211 with the whirlpool. The rooms are very "homey" but a bit on the older side. Beds were a tad uncomfortable but the place was clean and very quiet. No air conditioning. We got the "Pampered Partner" package which gave us 2 breakfasts and 1... More

I really appreciate your review. As one of the last small family owned resorts on the North Shore, you can bet we work very hard at keeping our rates low for all of our repeat guests! I know of no other resort on Lake Superior with better rates than ours! More

Booked through a deal site where we stayed 2 nights for $150. Very glad we only paid what we paid. Upon walking into our room, we were hit by a wall of stuffy, chemical laden air. The room was about 3 decades out of date. There was paint peeling off of the windows and window sills. When opened the window... More

My husband and I stayed in a small room on the second floor of the lodge over Memorial Day weekend. The room had a beautiful view of the lake and was cozy and comfortable. The lodge itself is located right in the middle of Cascade River State Park and has several great hiking trails leading right from it. The common... More

We just stayed at this charming lodge/resort in northern Minnesota. Cascade has an old, charming lodge with a main room with the classic stone fireplace and wood beamed ceiling. Additionally, there's a large front porch overlooking Lake Superior. Loved it! Also in the lodge they've put a game room in for the kids. We rented one of the old log... More

This was our fourth or fifth stay at Cascade. We received a warm, hospitable greeting upon our arrival, found the cabin clean and plenty of firewood for the fireplace. We also enjoyed eating some of our meals at the Cascade Restaurant which prepared very tasty meals. I highly recommend the Swedish pancakes. We also found the cross-country ski trails in... More

I don't typically write reviews, but I just had to say that my family and I really enjoyed our stay at Cascade Lodge. From the time we checked in until the time we checked out we enjoyed ourselves completely. Warms smiles greeted us. Our room was clean and neat. And the setting was really great. The restaurant at the lodge... More

Stayed in July and returned for October fall color time. Stayed in cabin 11 and used the sofa sleeper as it's a one bedroom. To my complete surprise the sofa sleeper was just great. I've never had success with sleeping on a hideabed before. The reason we rented cabin 11 was the lovely spot on the Cascade Creek. The sound... More

I highly recommend the Cascade Lodge if you need an economical yet roomy place to stay in Lutsen, close to great hiking and the beauties of nature. We got two rooms in the Lodge (not the outbuildings). One had a kitchen, the other overlooked the water. We paid less for these two rooms than we would have for one room... More

Thank you for the kind review. This is much more typical of the sort of feedback we get by the 100's via email every season. We appreciate it and look forward to seeing you again! More
