I was a little Leary after reading some of the reviews, but we couldn't have asked for anything better...centrally located to the things we wanted to see, easy highway access... Lake superior is about 2 minutes away...The owner was great, very helpful and hospitable... Very scenic, clean, quiet facility...

First the good: The Knife River Campground is very reasonably priced, clean, and close to the North Shore sites. Customer service is spot on. It is a small campground right off of highway 61. Randy, the owner, goes above and beyond to make a person welcome and comfortable. The rules are strictly enforced. Which we like. A beach with agates... More

This could a great little campground if you want to fish Lake Superior. At the start the owner seemed accommodating but ended up being extremely rude. Pay attention to the rules as you may be asked to leave if you don't follow them strictly. One of which is non campers must pay to be there to join you for dinner,... More

We pulled in early Friday afternoon and the bathroom had hair and old bandages on floor. Dirty sinks. That dirty old bandage and hair was still there Sunday when we left. Plus there wasn't toilet tissue as of Saturday night. And owner knew he would have full campground because the inline skating event occurred that weekend. Trees need to be... More
