Chris was unfriendly, bordering rude to myself and the two other couples staying there. Mattress in the twin room No 1 has collapsed sides and you can feel the springs easily through the mattress protector. I had to put the duvet from the other bed on top of the mattress to sleep. Even then the bed was uncomfortable. I complained... More

Then location is perfect for a break in journey to Cornwall. Straight off the A303 and into our room within minutes. The room was tidy and adequate size, although the decor is incredibly dated. The rooms are accessed from an outside courtyard which is nice. The 'shower' room is a disabled wet room which was quite old, rusty and not... More

Its a lovely little place that's very friendly. On the outskirt of everything we wanted to view in the surrounding area. Great pub within walking distance. You get a nice breakfast in the morning and the price is unbelievably reasonable. We're planning our return already.

Having stopped here for 3 days and two nights I can honestly say it was fantastic, the room was clean warm and very spacious, breakfast was nice and nothing out of the establishment reach. The owner was warm and friendly to approach and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied in my stay. Highly recommended.

Booked a pre paid trip to The Cottage on Expedia. Arrived to find reception locked !!! No note on the door to explain neither was there any notification of opening hours or any alternative methods of contact. Never before have I tried to book into a hotel or guest house to find it locked. After ringing the bell repeatedly and... More

Booked this hotel on booking.com and then received a voicemail next day to say it was being cancelled. No explanation so I called up to find out and was just told booking.com had double booked it. 4 days later I am still waiting for a refund!

I stayed here early January 2014 as a business traveler. I found the accommodation on laterooms and although it was a little off the beaten track it was cheap and all I wanted it for was a bed after work. The room was very nice, it felt had that country cottage decor. I must say I have never had such... More

Having stayed here before a couple of years ago, there was no hesitation when being in the area for New Years Eve in booking here again. A warm welcome with a post of tea & biscuits on a very damp afternoon was much appreciated. The breakfast the next day was extremely good, the room was basic but had everything we... More

Stayed here for 2 nights 28th Feb and 1st March 2013, just a short break but this accommodation provided exactly what we wanted. Met by the man who ran it with an immediate would you like a cup of tea! Wonderful tea and coffee with a plate of biscuits all complimentary, this set the tone for the very relaxed couple... More
