Very average hotel, but clean. Best hotel in the town of Hallock, MN. Very modest breakfast. Good option for a very small town in Minnesota. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area.

We needed to stay in or near Hallock to visit family. My husband and I were happy to find this clean, comfortable hotel in town. Although there was a loud train going through town, we only noticed it once. We found the breakfast simple, but sufficient: instant oatmeal, cold cereals, bagels, toast, different breads and muffins, coffee, juice and more.... More

The Budget Host Caribou Inn is a nice find in a small town. It is exactly as advertised, small friendly very clean and comfortable. The room is fully equipped and clean the breakfast area is neat and on par with other hotels that offer breakfast in the room price. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room rate... We've stayed there twice while visiting relatives. This is a no frills hotel but it is comfortable. Rooms have a comfortable cushioned chair, a desk, a table with chairs, fridge, microwave and cable flat screen. The lobby is entirely white so it appears quite stark, which is too bad because it's actually a comfortable place. They seem to have WIFI... More

Hallock is about as far as you can go in Minnesota to the north and west... and isn't really a destination for most folks unless they have family in the area and need a motel to crash. Some years ago the only choices were a couple of old mom-and-pop places... the old motels where you'd better like the person you... More

Have stayed at the Caribou Inn several times now and am happy with the accomodations. The owners have been very courteous to me and have gone out of their way to make my stay comfortable. Would stay here again without question. The resaurant next door, although not affiliated with the motel, has very good food and fair prices as well.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Inn and again had a nice stay. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. They had a great complimentary breakfast in the morning. The restaurant across the lot is really tasty, highly recommended.

Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Staff wasn't very friendly and not very accomodating. Be prepared! This is a small town and they roll the sidewalks in at dark. The hotel restaurant was closed (we got there on a Sunday night) and the only place to get something to eat was at the convenience store on the corner. Ate at... More

No longer a Super 8. Now called the Carabou Inn. Very curt staff; like we were bothering them and they were doing us a favor. No smiles, no "thank yous". Left me standing waiting to check in while she discussed some invoice with a supplier at some lengths. The door closers on the rooms are not adjusted and the doors... More

This hotel is about the only one anythere around. I had business in Pembina ND and could find no hotels, good or bad , anywhere. It was clean, the facility was rather new. The heating unit in my room was noisy so I just left it turned off even though the outside temperature was 10 degrees. A nice restaurant was... More
