We recently went to a college graduation. We decided to stay at Historic Hutchinson House on the night of our anniversary. Tami, Doug and Butler( the dog) were excellent hosts. The house was very picturesque, the room was spacious and most importantly to me the bed was extremely comfortable! The breakfast was really very tasty and filled with fresh ingredients.... More

This is an amazing old house that all by itself is fun to see. It's even better to stay there--Tami and Doug are great hosts and very nice people. This B & B has character and comfort, excellent breakfasts, and extremely helpful and accommodating hosts. A great balance of hominess but all the privacy and quiet one wants.

This bed and breakfast is a half-hour drive from two fine liberal arts colleges in Northfield, MN (St Olaf & Carleton). It's also close to an elite residential high school (Shattuck/St Mary's). So it's conveniently located for parents who come to this corner of Minnesota to drop off or pick up their kids or to attend graduation ceremonies. Apart from... More

Thank you! We love to visit with the parents and their students who stay with us and work very hard to make this feel like your home-away-from-home. I have to laugh though . . . you must drive very slow to enjoy the beautiful, local scenery . . . it normally takes me just 15 minutes to reach the colleges... More

We had a wonderful experience. Tami and Doug are fabulous hosts. We had great food and felt like we were at home. My husband indicated that he would like to come back and stay at the Hutchinson House again. We can;t say enough about our experience. It is the best B & B we have stay at. Butch and Mary... More

A very comfortable room and excellent breakfast at the Historic Hutchinson House B&B. Tami was friendly and helpful and it was fun to see the Tilt a Whirl episode which is a Faribault highlight. Great visit.

The Hutchinson House in Faribault is a beautiful home with a wealth of history and charm. Tami was also very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival and Butler (the owner's English bulldog)) was too cute for words. The home was clean and inviting and the whirlpool bath was the perfect way to end a wonderful day. Tami cooked us a... More

I beg your pardon . . . you were barely in the door and asked to take Butler for a walk! LOL Now that's my idea of a great guest! It was my pleasure to be your host, please come back to visit us again soon! More

My daughter and I stayed last weekend for our second-annual "retreat". We enjoyed every minute. Had the place all to ourselves on Thursday night, and Tami made us a big bowl of the best popcorn to enjoy with a movie we had rented. Coughlin's room is well-appointed and spacious. We loved the electric fireplace, closet for our coats and clothes,... More

Our stay at the Historic Hutchinson House B&B couldn't have been a more relaxing, delightful experience. We were only planning on staying one night and when our plans changed we enjoyed the second night there rather than at a chain hotel. Butler, the dog, greeted us on our arrival, we are dog lovers and it was so fun to interact... More

“My Wife & I were celebrating Valentines Day & 27 yrs 11mth Wedding Anniversary. We were welcomed by the smiling face of Tami, and the incredible gentleness of Butler the Bulldog! From that point, it only exceeded our expectations. The room was incredibly welcoming as we opened the door, (we wanted to stay indefinitely.) The impromptu appetizers & wine get... More

We have been to many bed and breakfasts but the Historic Hutchinson exceeded our expectations! Not only was there plenty to do and see in the town (even in a dead winter month), but Tami our hostess was incredibly warm and inviting. She made the best breakfast--wild rice quiche and homemade almond crescents, and she also had an entire binder... More

Thank you for your enthusiastic review . . . and I agree . . . there is SO much to see and do in Faribault. Just to name a few: Faribault Woolen Mills, The Cheese Cave (sandstone, cave-aged cheese), 750-acre River Bend Nature Center, First U.S. Episcopal Cathedral and other architecture dating back to the 1850s, historic downtown shopping district,...
