We've stayed in many BnBs over the years and Tamii and Doug are by far the most gracious innkeepers we've ever encountered. They make you feel so welcome and treat you like a neighbor and friend. The house is extremely beautiful and you will learn the history of it from Doug. It happened to be their aniv. on the day... More

Inn Keepers, Tami and Doug, are very nice. We feel right at home. The house is gorgeous and clean. We stayed in the Coughlin room, which is cozy and quiet. The neighborhood is quiet with some beautiful old houses. Tami gave us a walking tour map of the neighborhood. I think it's a reasonable price for what it has to... More

This was a gorgeous house within walking distance of the downtown area of Faribault. The neighborhood had many beautiful homes, and was fun to walk through. The food was wonderful with Doug and Tami sharing their knowledge of the area and the history of the house with us while we ate. The room was refreshingly cool and the bed was... More

Thank you SO much for the 5-star review! You are correct, while the Professor's Room bath is not en-suite, it is PRIVATE and convenient to the room. I appreciate all your other kind comments and am especially glad you enjoyed the beautiful, wrap-around porch . . . I think it is the nicest room in the house (except in January)!... More

Beautiful Victorian home, spotlessly clean, homeowner welcoming and friendly but respects your privacy. She was very helpful with town history and things to do. Room was lovely and breakfast delicious. Located walking distance to downtown area that had wonderful restaurants.

This bed and breakfast was comfortable, charming, and spotless. I was traveling on my own and so I was more comfortable being in a B&B type of setting rather than a hotel. My son was attending a hockey camp and this place was close to the school; maybe a 6 minute drive. The owners are just lovely and they have... More

Stayed one night to pick up our son from camp at Shattuck. Close to campus, close to town. Tami was great at recommending places to eat. House is lovely to see and read about the history. Old Victorian with all the charm, but modern day convenience of AC, Internet and TV if you need. Hoping my son goes back next... More

We recently went to a college graduation. We decided to stay at Historic Hutchinson House on the night of our anniversary. Tami, Doug and Butler( the dog) were excellent hosts. The house was very picturesque, the room was spacious and most importantly to me the bed was extremely comfortable! The breakfast was really very tasty and filled with fresh ingredients.... More

This is an amazing old house that all by itself is fun to see. It's even better to stay there--Tami and Doug are great hosts and very nice people. This B & B has character and comfort, excellent breakfasts, and extremely helpful and accommodating hosts. A great balance of hominess but all the privacy and quiet one wants.

This bed and breakfast is a half-hour drive from two fine liberal arts colleges in Northfield, MN (St Olaf & Carleton). It's also close to an elite residential high school (Shattuck/St Mary's). So it's conveniently located for parents who come to this corner of Minnesota to drop off or pick up their kids or to attend graduation ceremonies. Apart from... More

Thank you! We love to visit with the parents and their students who stay with us and work very hard to make this feel like your home-away-from-home. I have to laugh though . . . you must drive very slow to enjoy the beautiful, local scenery . . . it normally takes me just 15 minutes to reach the colleges... More

We had a wonderful experience. Tami and Doug are fabulous hosts. We had great food and felt like we were at home. My husband indicated that he would like to come back and stay at the Hutchinson House again. We can;t say enough about our experience. It is the best B & B we have stay at. Butch and Mary... More
