The hotel wasn't very clean. The beds were good, butthTs where the buck stops. The pillows were flat, the walls were paper thin, the shower temperature was finicky (either scalding or ice cold). The continental breakfast consisted of stale toast, rubbery hard boiled eggs and donuts, which were actually tasty. To top it off, the morning staff person was acting... More

Let's say you're going to be in Duluth for a short time, and all you need is a place to sleep. You're not looking for a vacation rental, it's not your anniversary or honeymoon, so you don't need a four poster bed in front of a fireplace, and you don't want to spend a lot of $$. The Super 8... We stayed here for 2 nights, in July, 2012, and were skeptical after reading the other bad reviews, but decided to give a look and decide for ourselves. The room was very clean, I observed a maid on her hands and knees cleaning around the toilet in another room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the area, I... More

My husband and I stayed in a room with a queen bed on the 2nd floor. Kinda of a creepy atmosphere here, but the price was good. The check-in area really needs a renovation, as well as the rooms. The hallways are dark and very depressing. We were rather shocked to hear the woman at the front desk ask someone... More

I stayed here while visiting a friend, and I had a very enjoyable experience. The staff was eager to help me, and the hotel was in great condition. The rooms were clean and nicely kept. I didn't have any issues, and I know where I will stay next time I'm in the Duluth area. Overall, I had a great experience... More

I booked this hotel through Expedia mainly because of the low room price. It turned out to be a very well staffed hotel run by a delightful group of women who made my wife and my 3 day stay a delight. The hotel rooms were very clean and non smoking. The hotel did not have that "hotel smell" that many... More

My daughter and I stayed in room 203 for 2 nights on Thanksgiving w/e. I noticed on our way home that my arms were itchy. Later I found red bug bites on my arms and neck (only a few on my legs). I have never experienced this before and have stayed in many hotels in Duluth. I washed all my... More

I stayed there and the first night I couldn't sleep and didn't know why. The second night I was so tired I passed out and woke up the next morning to bites all over me. Don't stay here!!!!

I stayed two nights in Room 206 during a busy tourist weekend in September 2011. My room cost $130 a night, which I thought was terribly overpriced, especially given the conditions of the hotel. I ended up getting sick during my stay and would have gone home a day early, only there was a two-night minimum stay that weekend and... More

I found the Duluth Super 8 to be one of the better Super 8 motels I have stayed in recently. It what I expect from a Super 8. The room was clean, had a comfortable bed, and the staff was very friendly. The wireless internet could be improved. It was the only thing I found unsatisfactory during my stay.
