My girlfriend and I were looking for a weekend get away to Duluth from the twin cities. We saw the reviews on trip advisor and thought we should see if it lived up to it's rating - and it sure did! We stayed in the Barnum Suite, which was the former master suite of the Barnum residence. It was nice... More

Firelight is one of those gems tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood on a dead end street next to a truly babbling brook! Firelight is a wonderful Inn filled with hospitality and true concern by Joy and Jim for their guests happiness!

My boyfriend and I just recently stayed here, and it was exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway! We stayed in the Barnum suite which I highly recommend. Had an amazing breakfast delivered to our room and are on the patio. The soap that is made by the owner was a favorite of mine. I had to purchase 3... More

We were greeted by Jim and Joy. First ones to check in for the day we got the grand tour. Awesome building the owners made sure we were extra cozy, they did everything they could above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Quiet, clean, peaceful, close to everything. Don't get me started about the humungous yummy breakfast and always... More

The best place we have ever stayed at. The rooms are beautiful and luxurious, the breakfasts are to die for, and the innkeepers, Jim and Joy, are 2 of the nicest, most hospitable people you will ever be fortunate enough to meet! They make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as you could dream. Loaded with little touches that makes... More

My husband and I stayed here recently for three nights and had the most wonderful experience. We picked the Barnum suite which was cozy, comfortable and equipped with an in room jacuzzi. In addition to this, the suite also had direct access to the patio that opens up to Oregon Creek. The room was beautifully furnished and the little touches... More

My husband and I stayed in the Isle Royale Suite. We were celebrating our 3rd anniversary. There is a gas fireplace in every room and a wood fireplace in the main entry. It is a very cozy warm place to come back to in the cooler months. There are also homemade sugar cookies and twizzlers set out for snacking. :)... More

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to stay the night for a last minute getaway. We called Friday morning and Joy was kind enough to let us book just a single night in the Inn. Lucky us - the only room left was the Barnum Suite, the master bedroom! The only thing we did wrong was not... More

We stayed in the Barnum Suite, which was soothing and opulent--giant cozy bed, two-person Jacuzzi in a bathroom with delightful old-fashioned tiles, and a fireplace, just like we'd been craving! The breakfast was delicious and ample, and Joy was wonderful about accommodating dietary restrictions, even making me a special main dish because I couldn't eat the one she had planned... More

My husband and I stayed thus fall for a baby-moon. We had never stayed at a B&B and this was the most amazing experience. We are planning our next visit for this summer. I would choose this experience hands down over a hotel any day.
