Went to Duluth to spend a weekend at the Firelight. We were greeted at the door and given a quick lower level tour. Bags were carried upstairs for us. Awesome Superior room! More room than we needed, but shy not!!! Breakfast was wonderful both days! Any room would be awesome! Highly recommend this B&B as many before me already have!

My one and only complaint if you could even call it that, was the love poem gift basket. It was way overpriced for what was included. Cheap chocolates, $3 love poem book, bath soap which is the exact same as what you receive complimentary in the bathroom to use in the jacuzzi, 2 small spounges, cheap bodycology lotion from walmart($3.97),... We are pleased you enjoyed your one-night stay with us and the food we served. You are not the first guests that have said it was a place they didn't want to leave. We are sorry you were less than satisfied with the Firelight Romance Basket. We would have surely made it right for you if you would have spoken... More

My husband and I stay in Duluth at least once a year, and the Firelight Inn is our favorite accommodation. Joy and Jim are warm, welcoming people who truly love what they do. We stayed in the Superior Suite, which was spacious, very comfortable, and super clean … but the best part about that room was drifting off to the... More

This is is a showplace, very clean (you are requested to remove your shoes to leave them in the entry way, however, I did notice the B&B owners wearing shoes while walking around the Inn). We did not experience a request for shoe removal the first time we stayed here. The a/c in our room quit working, but the innkeepers very... More

Everyone receives a reservation confirmation from The Firelight Inn on Oregon Creek B&B with all the information they need for their trip to stay with us. We let them know that we ask that outdoor shoes are removed in the foyer, if it's not an imposition, and to please bring indoor shoes or slippers if they so choose. We are... More

There are many, many places to stay in the Duluth area. We stayed at the Firelight for a weekend getaway in the Isle Royale Suite. If you decide to visit this area, do not miss out on having the experience of meeting Joy and Jim and the excellence of their B&B. It is elegant, outstanding and top notch, wrapped in... More

My husband and I live hectic lives so decided to take a little time away and experience The Firelight Inn on Oregon Creek in Duluth, MN. It was our anniversary getaway, and we could not have been more pleased with our choice. We stayed in the Brookside Suite which is just gorgeous and has an outdoor sitting area that overlooks... My wife and I stayed here for a relaxing weekend away and chose Firelight Inn based on previous reviews and their promise of providing gluten free breakfast (my wife has a gluten allergy). I have to say not only were we impressed; we were blown away by the experience of staying here. Joy and Jim are excellent hosts who were... More

There are reasons why this B&B is the only Minnesota B&B in The Select Registry of B&B's. One is that Joy and Jim Fischer are extraordinary innkeepers. The second is the care that was taken when they remodeled the Barnham Mansion to keep the old ambiance while adding modern creature comforts like a double jacuzzi tub in each room. We... More

We had an amazing weekend celebrating our anniversary/last getaway before baby arrives. The firelight inn is a cozy home away from home. From the awesome home cooked breakfasts to massages, we loved every aspect. Joy and Jim are great hosts- Definitely recommend. We will be back!

From the moment you pull into the driveway of this lovely Inn, you are instantly immersed in a feeling like you are home. We park in the driveway and bring our bags with us to the front porch door. Many times we are greeted before we get off the driveway! The decor of this inn is absolutely breathtaking. From the... More
