Pretty much zero to complain about, my favorite thing is the retro cozy vibe & the price & that they haven't ruined it all with a big ugly contemporary remodel & matching nauseatingly -huge price increase.

Experience at DDM was ok. Driving up I felt like I should have some shadier reason for staying than just a place to stay. Check-in lobby/dining area did not improve this feeling. Was pleasantly surprised, however, by the room. Clean, standard, and bed was very comfortable. Was upset though, that just like most hotels, they leave you one less shower... More

Dear Andrea, Thank you for choosing to stay at the Downtown Duluth Motel. We appreciate your business. So glad that you found the room to your liking but I am sorry that you were uncomfortable at first. I apologize that there were not enough towels in the room for all guests. Typically a room will have one or two guests.... More

We stayed at the DT Duluth Motel over NYE 2016. Check-in was extremely quick, front-of-house staff were very friendly, and the inside of the buildings was clean and well looked after. Wi-Fi was very quick and streamed music with no interruptions. We were able to walk to Fitgers and to the Canal to get to Grandma's before midnight. It was... More

Went for an overnight trip with two kids and it fit our needs perfectly!! Could see Lake Superior from our room. Check in was fast and easy. Didn't check out the breakfast but everything else was great!

The location of this hotel is ok. Bit of a walk to Canal Park activities. Parking is limited at this hotel. Motel office and rooms all in drastic need of updating. Room supplies, i.e. shampoo, lotion etc. not consistently furnished. Towels threadbare.

Dear R7764GZsusank, Thank you for choosing to stay at our hotel. It is in the heart of Downtown Duluth but a bit further from Canal Park. There is additional parking behind the hotel if the courtyard parking is full. I am very sorry to learn that room amenitites were not replenished during your stay and will bring this to the... More

This is an older facilty, but it is clean with friendly staff. The price is reasonable. It appears maintenance is addressed The location is centralized. A couple of things that could happen to enhance the stay are: the Continental breakfast could use a liitle improvement and having a box of kleenex in the rooms would be nice.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location was great and the price was great also. I received a government discount here which was great. I don't see a lot of places that have a government discount. We came to see the Christmas light display and will for sure be coming back next year. The room was clean and the staff... More

I enjoyed my stay and was made to feel at home, very clean property and staff was extremely helpful during our stay!! I would recommend this motel to anyone who is traveling with a family as it has many plus's with the breakfast offered and the comfort of the rooms.

Only issue we had was that the heater in our room was loud and woke us up at night. Otherwise the motel was exactly what we wanted, and very clean - and the location is pretty good, if you don't mind a short walk to Canal Park (which we didn't).

I've stayed at any of the hotels around Duluth and Proctor area. This one is surprisingly clean and quiet. The staff are extremely helpful, patient, and nice. Beds are comfortable. I only have two wishes: that the continental breakfast was more allergen friendly, and that the rooms had more blankets. I would stay here again.
